Common Exodia deck - Raikoo From: SilverCross2020@aol.com Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2005 01:26:56 EDT Hello hello! This is the 2nd deck type I've submitted. I'm still ammused at the concept of legal 'Egyptian God Cards'. Now if only I had an End of Anubis.. Anywho, I'll be going to a local tournament in my area (Rutland, VT for those curious. My real name's Joshua Gannon) and I figured I'd use the least used and possibly most under-rated deck type that I could think of. What ever happened to Exodia? Now I know it's quite possibly the most cheesey ways of winning a deul, but still, Exodia decks in my area used to be popular up untill the Chaos type was introduced, though I think the nifty Magician stuff and XYZ types in MAgician's Force was what initially struck down the five-card wonder. In my area atleast. And with the steady roar of Chaos decks, the rise of Zombie decks, and the classics of Dragons and Machines, Exodia seems all but forgotten. Yet with the current Advanced format being everywhere, Exodia seems like it could easily be a top contender. The threat of discarding effects seems almost minimal now with the recent ban changes, and with cards like Backup Soldiers, Monster Reincarnation, and Des Feral Imp, discarding would hurt how? Certainly there's no shortage of card drawing effects and Sangan's back. Haveing 3 Emissary of the Afterlife was almost sick as is, (I only have 2 unfortunately) but 3 EotA + Sangan? And the ban of 2 popular discard spells? Coincedence, I think not! I call this deck a Common Exodia deck because most all the cards are either common, or have been reprinted in some shape or form so getting ahold of them shouldn't be too difficult. The fact that 4 of the 5 pieces of Exodia are common only helps matters.. (Am I the only one that has pulled the entire Exodia set in the same DB1 pack?) In fact the single most difficult card to get in this deck would probally be Mirror Force, atleast untill that gets reprinted, if it ever does. Without further ado, Common Exodia! Monsters (17) Exodia the Forbidden One Left Arm of the Forbidden One Right Arm of the Forbidden One Left Leg of the Forbidden One Right Leg of the Forbidden One Des Feral Imp Emissary of the Afterlife x2 Sangan Magician of Faith x2 Spirit Reaper x3 Dark Mimic LV1 x3 Spells (9) Monster Reincarnation Lightning Vortex Pot of Greed Gracefull Charity Upstart Goblin x2 Reload x2 Premature Burial Traps (14) Jar of Greed x3 Good Goblin Housekeeping x2 Mirror Force Ring of Destruction Magic Cylinder Waboku x3 Backup Soldier x2 Call of the Haunted Side Deck (15) Jinzo D.D. An Exodia deck only needs 1 turn to win, right? Anywho, Comments? Questions? Want to burn Exodia cards and laugh maniaclly? Email me at SilverCross2020@aol.com or AIM me at SilverCross2020
