UPDATE to "45-50 Card Deck Can Be Fun By Angel-From-A-Hgher-Plane ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: AFernan104@aol.com Date: Sat, 2 Apr 2005 13:23:25 EST This is a revised article I submitted a year ago. Hope you all enjoy it anew! 45-50 Card Deck based on research and experience on my duels from 12/10/02 through 04/2005. Generally 45-50 card decks tend to be too many cards in terms of speed and low top-decking(getting the card you really need within your turn) draw probability. However it is still fun to play them especially when you know you have a very complementary and powerful cards in a deck. This article is simply to aid my fellow yugioh players who are new to the realm of duel monsters. It is a generalization of a BIG DECK composition but must have a smooth compatibility factor between monsters, spell, and trap cards. Usually a beatdown deck could be an effective BIG DECK since it's simple purpose is to attack other monsters and hit the life points whenever possible? Keep in mind that a 50 cards deck is mainly for fun-play. One needs to compensate for the slowness and low drawing probability by using themed based monster type/attribute based deck. In the end BIG DECKSs are too slow to be consistent winners but could prove fun to play based on ones favored type of related cards. In the following information is in accordance with the ADVANCE FORMAT Forbidden List effective on April 1st! Monsters Cards Total Monster Cards count: 10; 3-6(level 5 or 6) 10(level 1-4) 6 or 7 offensive and 3 or 4 defensive. Effect Monsters Total Monster Cards count: 10; 3-5(monster  removal & stoppage), 1-3 Extra Drawing, 1-3 magic/trap negation/destruction/disruption/recursion. Note2: Disruption can be deck/hand depletion or Life Point burn effects. Note3: Recursion can be reviving your monsters and regaining spent/used life points, spell and trap cards.
