Josh's article about originality and theme ---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "Littleman20203" Date: Fri, 1 Apr 2005 21:01:05 -0600 Wow, I'm back, what a surprise. A few things here. First, everyone talks about originality and "ooh ooh ooh, need to make deck yourself, don't copy/go w/ what everyone else does, ooh ooh ooh." Well, since I'm doing this, I'm a victim of it too. Originality rants/articles are just like the Cookie Cutter cards. Think about it, people put the same basis in this kind of rant/article. Same goes for ban list rants/articles. There is no originality in these articles. I would like to issue a stop on all "tips" of this kind after this one. Part 2, I get mail, saying how my deck steered off theme, go all fiends, blah blah blah. Newsflash, my deck isn't pure fiend, its fiend MIX, meaning i have gone through a biological process known as adaptation, the changing of a species to suit the environment. So, I chnaged my deck to suit my dueling environment. Its "original" (gasp!). I see any deck as original as long as it didn't copy another deck. So get over the fact you lose to Chaos/Zombie/Warrior/Whatever. Adapt your deck to counter it while keeping a semi-base theme. Stop whining and crying and get over it. You lost, you're not invincible. For more info on the last 2 sentences, check out DeathJester's Dojo, the M.I.M.E. series. One more thing, why is it a sin for any deck (except Exodia) to have more than 40 cards? "Oh No! You have 45 cards in your deck!! You have betrayed the country!!!" It's not wrong, put in as many as u want over 40 cards, as long as u have FUN(wow, everyone's forgotten what that word means for real. WIN is not the correct definition) playing. Who cares if you lose? Especially to Chaos? NOBODY! I want your mail, especially if it's hate. But be honest in your mail. This is Josh, signing out. E-mail: Littleman20203@hotmail.com I hope you hate me.
