---------- Original Message ---------------------------------- From: "chaosmech@juno.com" Date: Thu, 31 Mar 2005 20:14:28 GMT Hey everyone, it’s Chaosmech back again with a deck idea. You all, I’m sure, have at least heard of the XYZ series. Well, I’m going to be treating you to a double bonus today, with a kind of top ten and then a deck construction. The top cards for an XYZ deck 1. XYZ—Dragon Cannon/Fusion/Light/Machine/2800 ATK/2600 DEF- “X-head Cannon” + “Y-Dragon Head” + “Z-Metal Tank”- This card can only be special summoned by removing the above monsters on the field from play. You do not use Polymerization to Special Summon this monster. You may discard one card from your hand in order to destroy one card on your opponent’s side of the field. The big one. With 2800 ATK, this thing is nigh-invincible. With the discard effect, you won’t need to fear your opponent’s face-down traps or monsters. You can just get rid of them. One of the more powerful cards, and without needing polymerization, this Fusion monster is very reliable. Two of the parts are searchable by Sangan and Shining Angel, and the third is searchable by witch (if you’re playing traditional). Relatively easy to use in the right deck. 2. XZ—Tank Cannon/Fusion/Light/Machine/2400 ATK/2000 DEF- “X-head Cannon” + “Z-Metal Tank”- This card can only be special summoned by removing the above monsters on the field from play. You do not use Polymerization to Special Summon this monster. You may discard one card from your hand in order to destroy one face-down Spell or Trap card on your opponent’s side of the field. The second best of the XYZ series. With 2400 ATK, it matches Jinzo and a host of other one-tribute monsters. But the effect is the best of the three intermediate levels (XZ, XY, and YZ). Again, not having to use Polymerization is a plus, and the ability to destroy face-down Spells or Traps makes your opponent’s plan to stop you that much harder to pull off. 3. YZ—Tank Dragon/Fusion/Light/Machine/2100 ATK/2200 DEF- “Y- Dragon Head” + “Z-Metal Tank”- This card can only be special summoned by removing the above monsters on the field from play. You do not use Polymerization to Special Summon this monster. You may discard one card from your hand in order to destroy one face-down monster on your opponent’s side of the field. The third best, and the second of the intermediate levels. With 2100 ATK, it’s weaker than both of the others intermediates, but its effect is what makes it second best. Discard to destroy one face-down monster. It’s almost as good as Nobleman of Crossout. Plus, with both its pieces searchable by Shining Angel and Sangan, it’s very speedy to pull out. 4. XY—Dragon Cannon/Fusion/Light/Machine/2200 ATK/1900 DEF- “X-head Cannon” + “Y- Dragon Head”- This card can only be special summoned by removing the above monsters on the field from play. You do not use Polymerization to Special Summon this monster. You may discard one card from your hand in order to destroy one face-up Spell or Trap card on your opponent’s side of the field. Well, this one has better stats than the last, but its effect isn’t as good… face-up spells or traps has some good applications, like destroying Swords of Revealing Light, Premature Burial, Call of the Haunted, any field card, the Burn/stall cards commonly seen, but face-down are far more commonly run. But put it in your deck just because. 5. X- Head Cannon/Normal/Light/Machine/1800 ATK/ 1500 DEF This is a normal monster. With decent stats. Plus, when combined with Y or Z, it becomes stronger. Searchable by witch, but nothing else. 6. Z- Metal Tank/Union/Light/Machine/1500 ATK/ 1300 DEF – (union effect) equip to X-Head Cannon or Y- Dragon Head. Increases by 600 ATK/DEF This ranks higher than Y for a couple of reasons. First of all, it increases by more (600 vs. 400). Secondly, it can equip to either X or Y. Y can only equip to X. Plus, it’s searchable by Witch, Sangan, and Shining Angel. 7. Y- Dragon Head/Union/Light/Machine/1500 ATK/1600 DEF- (union effect) equip to X-head Cannon. Increase by 400 ATK/DEF. This gets the lowest because it’s not as searchable as Z, but has the same attack, and it doesn’t boost as high as Z does. Now for the deck.
