 Ban list commentss




         Simply put, the ban list format has been very poorly developed. 
Why you ask? Isn't the ban list a terrific equalizer? Don't try to 
make me laugh (Cracks up immersed in laughter.).
         It's not the fact that I dislike the idea of the ban list in 
         general, it's just that it has been poorly made at the cry to  
         power down chaos. This is for a number of reasons:

1. Universaly powerful cards are released that force competitive players 
to conform to the new metagame(Chaos and Yata anyone?) 2. Poor players 
that can't get these cards.
3. A lack of powerful deck types that can compete in the metagame with 
the reigning deck type.
4. A lack of good cards to fufill a specific deck type (Non chaos).
5. A non game breaking set (AST- Coughs spasmaticaly)

         The list was made to encourage origionality. However, it takes 
         out half of all staples(And the minimaly used united we stand
         ?????????????????????????????????????????????).  What people 
         don't see is that  the staples can be used in ALL DECKS!!!!!!!
         !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I can't repeat 
         this enough. There is nothing wrong with using them. They are the 
         spines of all decks, which is why they are called staples. It's 
         good to have a spine!

         This ban list is like saying that 100 clones of the same person 
         will be different if they are all genetically engineered to not 
         have spines. Are they all different!?  Of course not. The only 
         thing you have now is 100 peple that cannot stand.

        The frequency of the ban list editing is off the wall , as well. 
        A deck can not meet its potential if 3/4 of the ban list cards 
        are changed every five months and if new sets come out every 2-3 
        months! That is constant deck changing. A good player cannot 
        change his deck for new set cards and follow the ban list every 
        few months. This isn't realistic money wise or game wise. So the 
        bans lower the potential of players to  play their best in this 
        way.


         Therefore the ban list is not being used for what it should be 
         used for. The true point of any ban list is to eliminate cards 
         that are ridiculously overpowered and can only be used in certain 
         decks to be effective. This doesn't include the staples because 
         everyone can use them well. Thus, there is a equal playing feild 
         for all decks.

         In this case , the only real ban worthy cards are :

         Chaos emporer dragon - envoy of end
         Yata Garasu
