[darkshade_99@hotmail.com] Advice Or Complaints; You Decide - Dark Shade Hello everyone. Long time reader, first time writer Dark Shade here to mix things up a little bit with everyone who reads the 'tips'. I've been an active duelist for about a year to two years now, playing off and on. I quit at one point, but now I'm back in the game. So, scrap my life story, onto what I thought I'd say. -Beatdown/Chaos/Etc. Being Unoriginal/Undifferent- Personally, I've owned and played each and every one of these decks. We all know what I'm talking about. Yata this, Jinzo that, CED here and there. Thing is, people seem to have the misconception that every single deck is identical in nature. Sadly, this isn't always the case. Sure we have our 'cookie-cutter' decks that everyone in 'our area' seems to use, but with the right fine-tuning and playability, any one of these decks can be tweaked to match each player's own style or ideas. Seriously. It works. But hey, if you still consider these decks to be 'cheap' and 'broken', by all means, it's your opinion, and you have every right to believe it. But again, each Beatdown can have that splash, that spark, the different cards you're not usually expecting to see. Relinquished, anyone? How about Axe Of Despair? Shining Angel for Chaos food? Mix it up a little bit, try something new! When I first started playing, before most of the 'broken' cards were introduced, ALL Beatdown Decks in my area ran a variety of cards, from Relinquished, to Axe Of Despair...heck, even Fairy Box had it's spotlight number in one of my friend's decks. The trick nowadays is to apply that same method to your current dueling scene. Sure, it's tricky. And yes, not everyone will go along with it. But wasn't the point of this game from the start to have FUN? So I say again, go on, try new things. Ignore Jinzo and his CED and BLS buddies. Chuck Yata out the window for all I care. Throw Hayabusa's back in that deck. Fire up a couple Time Seals or Needle Walls to set things straight again. ...I think I've written enough for one article, eh? Check back again for another 'update' or 'section' of sorts another day. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this little snippet of info from my head. Comments? Complaints? Any feedback at all would be appreciated. Go nuts, you've earned it for reading that lengthy thing. Catch you guys on the flipside! --Dark Shade darkshade_99@hotmail.com
