Rant on Rich decks-some of them There are two types of rich decks in the game today-those that were earned and those that werent. My deck has a book value of $300, and guess what? i earned every penny of it. So for anyone reading this that has a rich deck that you've earned, this is NOT aimed at you. The rich decks that get on my nerves are little kids with four-digit value decks. I went to a tournament on friday and one kid there went to the counter and asked for EVERY IOC PACK ON DISPLAY AND HIS MOM BOUGHT THEM FOR HIM BECAUSE HE MOWED THE LAWN THAT DAY( it was over $100 worth of packs). Now, unless that lawn is like the size of a football field, that's just spoiling the kid. Another kid's dad was BRAGGING that he's spent over $5,000 on his son's cards. FIVE THOUSAND BUCKS!! MY '96 Grand Prix isn't worth that much! And these kids get really snobby too. So this article is mainly directed at you parents out there that spend obscene amounts of cash on your kid's yugioh stuff. these kids are SO oblivious to just how much money this is that theyre going to have quite a shock later in life. you're not helping your kid by dumping hundreds or thousands of dollars into making their deck for them! and you're pissing teenagers like me off because we have to deal with your hyper, screechy kids with collections that could pay our college tuition. it takes practically all the spirit out of the game. Now like i said, i have nothing against people earning good decks through working-in fact, i encourage it. but the situation with these little kids with ridiculous amounts of money in their yugioh collections is just getting annoying. so if you're a parent dumping $100 a week into your kids yugioh collection, CUT IT OUT!! i got to my $500 collection completely on my own. make your kid WORK for their stuff. Especially hatemail-I love reading that stuff! Until next time.
