Custom Duel Format, World Pack Wars-Camex

This is Camex with what may not exactly be a direct tip. This is a play format I came up with that I use as my excuse to buy 24 count hobby boxes. As opposed to buying the packs seperatly, I try to buy them once in bulk to save myself time, money and increase my chances of getting a nice set of holos. Basically you get a group of people together who are also interested in purchasing a box and make it a day of dueling using the cards you strictly get from the packs in the box. Here are a few of the guidelines I came up with, try this format out its actually quite fun.

- A player chooses and purchases a 24 count pack booster of the set they desire to represent during the "World Pack War "

- Players are only able to use cards that they immediately recieve through the booster box they open on that day.

-Players themselves will provide any protective sleevs for cards they acquire.

-Players keep any and all cards that they recieve

-The winner at the end of the day will be decided through point system;

                                        Singles                    Doubles                    Everyone for Themselves
Points for winner            2                                    2                                                   3
Points for loser              1                                    1                                                    1
Draw                                  1.5                                1.5                                                2

-In addition,  Players can enter the "World Pack War mode" by wagering 1 unoppened pack on a duel ( 1 for each player involved). Points awarded to the winner will be determined by roll of a six sided dice in addition to the points they would recieve depending on the type of duel involved (see above). A roll of a 1, not only counts as 1 point awarded to the winner, but also a re-roll. On the event that the second roll is a roll of 1, a player will not be allowed to re-roll. . This adds a level of strategy to the game. Remember a 24 count box comes with a maximum of 7 holographics cards (theoretically). If someone is able to acquire all 7 of these cards (assuming there are 7 in the box), a player may seem tempted to enter the "World Pack War mode".  Remember however this directly effects the ability you have to making your deck and packs are NOT kept by winners of the WPW mode (unless you and your friends wish to tweak the rules and are willing to risk the packs). The losing party is simply unable to open the pack and use the cards toward the remainder of the "World Pack War". They are also unable to once wager the same pack on a WPW mode.

-Decks will consist of 40 cards and life points will begin at 8000

This is a great way to use those cards that you would get in the booster box and would never otherwise consider using in constructed duels. And at the very least, at the end of the day, everyone has several new cards to trade and work with.
