[robotman1013@yahoo.com] The ban list: 3 Helpful pieces of advice. - Aburame Shino Aburame Shino The Ban list: 3 Helpful pieces of advice. Lately in my area I've been hearing that if the ban list would ever hit the American game, they would quit immediately. Whenever I ask them why, they just respond by saying that their deck won't be able to win without their Raigeki, Feather Duster, or whatever. That I just cannot see because I have been using my deck without the 10 banned cards for a couple months, and my deck's been working fine. In this article, I will be giving three helpful pieces of advice on what you could replace those cards with in your deck. That way when you go to a tournament and they're using the ban list you are prepared. I will note now that I do not know what is being replaced on the ban list, and will be using what is currently on the ban list. Here is a quick recap for those of you who do not know what's on the list. The following cards are currently banned from use in Japan: Yata-Garasu Injection Fairy Lily Raigeki Harpie's Feather Duster Delinquent Duo Painful Choice Imperial Order Change of Heart Cyber Jar Fiber Jar --- 1. Don't just replace the cards with weaker versions of them (ex. Replacing Change of Heart with Enemy Controller) unless you're sure your deck can work with it. Doing that will get you slaughtered against the current main stream decks. When you are replacing the cards that need to be removed, go with a card that will go with your strategy. For example, if you run Chaos, I'd go with something like Watapon. It's food for Chaos, and you can use it as a chump blocker if your Sangan or Witch dies. 2. Make sure the cards you put in will assist you if you are up in a tight corner. Don't just throw a card in because it could help you at one particular time. Make sure it will help you, no matter when you draw it. For example, if you are running a field control deck and you are currently running a Cyber Jar, switch to Morphing Jar #2. It might be a weaker version of Cyber Jar, but it still wipes away all your opponent's strong cards and puts possible weaker ones face-down. 3. Try something new. Going out of the ordinary never hurt anybody. Look at the current World Champion if you need proof of my idea. He ran 2 Apprentice Magician in his deck and he became the world champion. For this part I can't really give you any advice on what cards would be usable, because each deck runs its own strategies, and it would take a while to list off the cards I've been using and why. And this concludes my article. If you need to contact me to give me comments or helpful information, send me an e-mail at Robotman1013@yahoo.com.
