Subject: General tips for exodia-- Dinesh Martin Notable Cards for Exodia deck: Ring of Destruction: Although many may see this as worthless,to me it's invaluable in an exodia or any deck for that matter. I have personally had to endure the fustration of having a wtich of the black forest on the field and my opponent NOT attacking and stalling(when i had 3-4 peices in my hand) Now the ring of destruction can fix all your problems. Reckless greed: I haven't seen this card in many exodia decks and I have to ask myself "WHY" It's an excellent card where speed is concerned. It's basically like getting your Next 2 draw phases on credit if you activate it during YOUR turn and not during your opponents turn>Remember,if using this card,NEVER activate it during opponet's turn WHy? Case #1: Top 3 cards in deck are exodia peice, witch, sangan You activate your greed during opponet's turn,u get peice and witch and have to wait 2 more turns for the sangan:o Now if you wait on YOUR turn, you get the peice as a draw and THEN activate the greed:) Upstart Goblin: Again not often used and I don't know why.Yes you are putting in a card to "DRAW" a card ,but think of the speed involved!I have come across many a duelist that just say"why use this card?Stick in another defensive monstor instead".But remember your opponent isn't likly to waste his majic jammer /Imperial order on such a "worthless" card as some put it. Note: Unlike many "conventional" exodia decks i prefer to generally STAY AWAY from cannon soilder. Reason?Well in the current gaming environment every Tom Dick and Harry is running a Beatdown. Chances are you are not going to get chance to launch your witch or sangan. I personally prefer the "suicide bomber" strategie. Eg; I atk a la jin with a Tomato and bring out witch.Still being my battlephase i atk! You loose a mere 1100 lp but you get an exodia peice which can be crucial in the game! CARds to STAY AWAY FROM: Miracle dig: Yes it allows you to bring back peices if your opponent gets the chance to remove them, but come on.....If I am soul releasing cards i wouldn't release 5 monstors for the obvious reason!Side deck this card if anything. Solemn Judgement : Oddly enough this is one of the cards "prefered" by some of the duelists I know that use exodia. Some running as much as 2.I have cut down mines to ONE and ONLY ONE. Why waste so much lp ?Yes I would use it say an oppoent flips a fiber jar and i have 4 peices in my hand, and low lp.But otherwise use sparingly. It's better you have alot of M/t removers in your deck.Eg: 3 mst, heavystorm and a HFD Lastly, although exodia decks are greatly underestimated and bashed because of the hand disruption cards available,I still love it. Exodia is as powerful as ever.It takes a extremly skilled duelist to use exodia effectivly and well i'm still learning:) I'll post more of these tips as i get time and experience Dinesh Martin --hiddenagender@hotmail.com
