Subject: the important aspects of "control" first of all i'd like to start off by saying to people who think they know the aspects u may wanna think twice on that. i dont know everything but i know a few essentials such as cards to have, strategies, and what not.... first of all for you people who do not know what control is it is the deck where u modify your opponents hand and field to as little or no cards as you can. this can be helped out greatly with a few good control cards. they are as follows: yata garasu, delinquent duo, confiscation, forceful sentry, time seal (dont recommend), and arguably one of my favorite cards drop off. i currently run 2 in my deck. drop off is a very good card. also raigeki, dark hole, heavy storm, mystical space typhoon, and harpies' feather duster work very good. if i forgot any cards that you have in mind feel free to contact me. second of all is the strategy: this is where people go wrong. most people like to be aggressive and just use every card they can as soon as they get it. the only way you'll get your control deck to run smoothly is to know TWO key elements. 1) anticipate your opponents every move... knowing what deck your opponent runs and what cards he specializes in are essential to victory... you may call me crazy but knowing my opponents deck gives me huge advantages. 2) folks dont just get a card and play it. use your cards wisely. learning to use them at the right time is how you can sometimes clinch the game. EX: using drop off when opponent has 1 card in hand or less etc. if you just throw the cards you get down you are in serious trouble because sooner or later you'll find out you'll be top decking and that is not a good scenario. card advantage on your opponent is essential. so basically folks running control is both expensive and hard to use. you dont need to be a rocket scientist to run it but cmon you cant be just an average person with little to nil gaming experience. control decks take patience, strategy, and the will to win. thank you for reading my report!!! ~brian bodkin~ feel free to contact me at my email address... brianbodkin@hotmail.com... please label your email with sumthing like "yugioh" or sumthin or i may mistake it for junk mail. you can also contact me at my aol instant messenger name PsYcHoMaN2k1... criticism both good and bad is encouraged. i too need to learn some of my faults so it is important for you to tell me good and bad. that is all thanks again!!! _________________________________________________________________ Get MSN 8 Dial-up Internet Service FREE for one month.
