Subject: The Blitzkrieg - The Royal King The 3rd Article/Tip by The Royal King Well, I missed the last tips, but this time I'm back with somewhat of a hot topic, with more and more of these decks popping up every day. Of course, I'm talking about WARRIORS! Blitzkrieg - The German Army's tactics of air and land rush in WWII. Blitz - Rushing the Quarterback before he can throw in Football. So, what do these things tell you? Warriors are about hitting fast and hard, like a defensive line. Therefore, we'll not only go fast here, but we'll see how we can make Warriors even faster. First of all, if you want general rules on making a speedy deck, see my 2nd article: Need for speed. Anyway, back to Warriors. These cards speed up the Warriors: Reinforcements of the Army: Magic card that adds a 4-star warrior from your deck to your hand. Very good. It takes one card from your deck and adds it to your hand, plus you are guaranteed a monster. Freed The Matchless General: Appearing at least once in most Warrior decks, Freed gets a Reinforcements effect once per turn. The downside is that you don't draw. But, you ARE getting that one card you might need, be it a Goblin Attack Force or whatever. Now, the base of Warriors are their monsters. These warriors should appear regardless: Maurading Captain: Protects all Warriors except himself, plus you get to Special Summon another 4-star Warrior (or any 4-star) from your hand. 2 Maurading Captains create a "Captain Stall" in which your opponent is unable to attack you at all. Exiled Force: Tribute to the Doomed in one card. Very effective when comboed with the Captain. Goblin Attack Force: 2300 atk is nothing to laugh at. Add in the fact that he's a Warrior, so he's not going to die if a Captain is on the field, and you've got yourself a 2300 atk monster every other turn that doesnt' die immediately! Gearfried the Iron Knight: 1800 atk monster for no tribute. Very cool. The upside AND downside of this monster is that he can't be equipped at all. A mixed blessing. But, scroll down to the Boost section of this article to see a way around this. Dark Blade: New in Magicain's Force, we get another Four Star 1800 atk WARRIOR. That's 9 assault cards that are warrior types. OKAY! Now that we got some Warrior-Staples, let's see what other type of monsters we can put in Warrior decks! Hayabusa Knight. This guy I see alot. Very popular in Equip/Warrior Decks. The only downside is when you put everything behind this pegion, only to see him stolen away from you via Change of Heart, Snatch Steal, or Creature Swap and then pounded down your skull. Dream Clown: Used in the rare Gravity Bind/Warrior deck. This utilizes Clowns and Captains to create a devastating assault. Axe Raider/Warrior Del Grepher: Well, now here are two guys that see play after all. Can't get those 1800s? Need more power in your warrior? 1700 isn't THAT bad, although without some serious Captain protection...they are SO toast. Boost! Boost! How do we make little warriors BIG warriors? Fusion Masume Blade (Or something like that): It's an 800 boost, but it can't be destroyed by a card effect. Which means you can equip it to your Gearfried and get away with it. Sogen: Not recommended, since this field card is only a 200 point boost to warriors. But, if you play Axe Raider or Warrior DG, then you might need that extra 200. Finally, the BIG warriors: Buster Blader: More popular with Magician's Force, but for a different reason. Chance's are you're only going to have 2600 and nothing else. Legendary Fisherman: Yeah, I know...but he's STILL a Warrior. Both of these guys are popular when used with: WARRIOR RETURNING ALIVE: Hands down one of the most useful cards in a Warrior Deck. Just lose your Goblins? BAM! They're back for another 2300 ass-whooping. Until next time, Long Live The King! kingsnake_007@yahoo.com __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo!
