Subject: Burner Tips and Tricks, as well as righting a few wrongs- MunkyLord There are a few things that most deulists are either too young or blind to realise... and a huge number of people who just don't know how to play... that's right... PLAY- YGO! is just a game... First thing- There is NOTHING wrong with playing beatdown... it's good... that's why everyone plays it... if you have a problem with beatdown, try burning Now, in order to burn you need to think quite abit harder then beating down... but I shall walk you thru all aspects of it... 1- Monster cards: there are only afew of these... cards such as Princess of Tsrugi... OK to hold the field for alittle. 2-Trap cards: there are very few burner cards to use on their own that are traps... and I don't wanna hear "jinzo!" because there often ISN'T a jinzo on the field! Burning traps include Just deserts and Ceasefire. 3-Magic cards: aah! if you want to run a simple burner without combos, magic is for you. There i a huge amount of things you can do with magic. Most known magic cards are ookazi, final flame, and tremendous fire... 4-COMBOS!!! combos are the heart of a good burner... often using magic, traps and monsters together to create an effective bind... the best combos are as follows: A) Fire Princess- every time you increase your life points for any reason your opponent takes 500. DO NOTE- the damage is not clumped, but MANY 500s put together. As you should know, there are MANY LP gaining cards- Solemn wishes, cure mermaid, marie the fallen one, momonga, ect. I know you're gunna whine that marie the fallen one is not playable, but as you can see, this is combos! Combine Painful Choice with 3 Maries and they can all hit the grave yard at the same time. To protect your Princess use "Messenger of Peace"- blocking all attacks 1,500 and higher, Princess being at exactly 1500 DEF B) Bad Reaction To Simouchi- This is also a beast... every time your opponent gains life the gain is negated and the same amount is subtracted from their LP. Couple it with Snatch Steal, Rain of Mercy, Upstart Goblin, Eye of Truth, and other such things. This card can single handedly counter a Fire Princess deck, however it is better to combine the two into beasty combos- Fire PrincessX2+Bad Reaction+Rain of Mercy= 1,000 gained for you, 2,000 lost for opponent. C) Barrel Behind the Door- the DESCRIPTION of beast! Cancel direct damage to yourself and switch it to your opponent. Use with Ring of Destruction for much damage... not enough cash for ring? even better... Immortal of Thunder... a common card that when it is flipped you gain 3,000 LP, and when it is sent to the grave yard you lose 5,000 LP... that's +3,000 for you, and -5,000 for your opponent... D) other... BE CREATIVE!!! now, then... onto the complaints... first thing's first... A Legendary Ocean does not lower Fisherman's / Warrior's level at ALL because the monster cards do not say they have to be on the field to not be effected by magic... only Umi must be on the field... no level down... ever... Secondly: READ THE RULE BOOK!!! LEARN THE CHAIN!!! the magic system is easy... people just don't want to learn it. Third:Do what the cards say... even if you don't like it, you have to. Fourth:Do not accuse people of cheating after they have won... even if they did cheat you still prove yourself incompetant... Fifth: You can only take Nimble Momongas from the deck with it's effect, the same if true for Giant Germ! Sixth:Monsters attack ONCE unless otherwise stated on the card... you do not attack infinatly if Ring of Magnetism is on something. and finaly Seventh: Take it like a man, Bit! wanna yell at me?
