Subject: Gearfried the Iron Knight Combos - Videogamer1306

      Gearfried the Iron Knight was one of the supers in the PSV set, and 
is now a common in the Joey starter deck, and after LON came out, he has 
gotten better.
     First off, his effect alone prevents him from being snatch stolen, 
which is mildly decent although situational.
      There's an equipment card ( don't worry. . I know, but his effect 
works FOR the equip card in this situation ) call Smoke Grenade of the 
Thief. It reads: "When the Equip Magic Cad is active and is destroyed due 
to a card effect, look at your opponent's hand. Select 1 card from his/her 
hand and discard it to the graveyard." It's like a free Confiscation. Most 
people overlooked this card because it not activated when the equiped 
monster is destroyed in battle. This combo works well in a Hand destruction 
deck. Also, it makes your opponent think before using HS/HFD. (plus, casual 
players don't like to read cards, and they'll just MST/breaker it.)
        Another combo with Gearfried is Blast with chain. It reads: "After 
activation, this card is treated as a Magic Equip Card. Select 1 monster 
you control and equip it with this card to increase it's attack points by 
500 points. When this card is sent to the grave yad from a card effect, 
select 1 card one the field and destroyed it." This card is especially good 
because you can pick spell/trap removal OR monster removal. Plus, I love it 
when a Gemini attacks my kycoo or a Goblin attack Force attacks my Gemini. 
Plus, (This is what makes it playable) it's CHAINABLE. They MST this 
face-down and you spring it on them. They lost 2 cards (MST and the card 
you destroy) and you only lose 1 (Blast with chain). w00t!

Gearfried will problably see more play when Eruma comes out (Gearfried, 
Eruma, Magic Royal Library and Exodia) but these combos will hold him for now.
