Subject: Random Dueling tips!--Dinesh martin These are some random tips to improving your dueling... 1) Practice.--Try to at LEAST get in a match or 2 a week if you are constricted by school .etc There is NO way you are going to become a good duelist unless you practise. It's the same as every other thing in life. You can't be a good doctor unless you see patients regularly. Also, by dueling more experienced players you gain valuable experience and even some strategies along the way. 2) Keep up to date on booster/deck releases: It makes no sense having an obsolete deck in my opinion. Check spoilers for upcoming boosters (in this case Dark crisis).See if there are any cards there that you need, or want. Not knowing these things can be devastating. Also it will give you something to look forward to :) eg: I'm anticipating the release (and for a long time too) of Exodia necross! 3) Know your opponent/his deck: Knowing your opponent is vital to winning a duel (even though you can defeat them otherwise, is beside the point). If you know your opponent, you have a clear idea of what goes on in his head during a duel. Eg: You may know someone that holds out for a raigeki to use with his yata. Or someone that sets his IO as soon as he gets it. Knowing their deck is also imperative. Knowing the deck THEME alone can be devastating to your opponent with the release of "T infecting virus"(I believe the name is). Also knowing if they run etc can be helpful.Eg: you will put a confiscation or anyone of the numerous hand disruption cards in your deck! 4) Trust in yourself Don't let anyone put you down. You could be the WORST duelist in history, but if your self confidence is zilch, how can you expect to win a duel?. Believing you can win is the first step. No matter what deck you are up against, if you have no faith in yourself or your deck (Yes I know it sounds like that cheesy hard of the cards) there is literally no hope. 5) Make each turn count Don't do rubbish in one turn and expect your opponent to let you recover I for one wouldn't let one crappy move go unpunished. So make careful moves 6) Know the rules and your rights You really don't want anyone trampling over you with fake rulings do you?. There isn't really much to say except to read the .PDF file available from pojo's website, and learn the basics from the Rule book Happy dueling! Comments?Flames?
