Subject: "Metamorphosis, TER, and other cards"-Rob who loves TER

with the release of magician's force, I would say that fusion monsters have seen a lot
more play. All of us know the infamous Magical Scientist combo (personally, I hate it and
I love it). But even without the combo with catapalt turtle, magical scientist, in itself,
was a good card to have, as its ability allowed people to play Dark Balter, Thousand eyes
restrict... etc.

Many people, especially those who have read about future Yu-gi-oh!
releases, have seen promising cards for fusions, including a card that allows the special
summon of a fusion monster for the cost of 5000 life points, without the restriction of
not being able to attack your opponents life points directly and returning to your fusion
deck at the end of the turn. This monster card often fetched one-turn kills by first clearing
the field of s/t's(instead of m/t's) and monsters, and then special summoning a blue eyes
ultimate dragon(4500 attack) and strapping a megamorph on it and then attacking for 9000.
Fun, eh? Or not fun, depending on which side your on.

But besides these wonderful one-turn KO combos, I have rarely seen anyone use fusion
monsters. This disappoints me, as I enjoyed the use of polymerization and fusion gate
back in the old days. Granted, fusion decks were very crappy, but I enjoyed them nonetheless.
But upon further examination of some common cards that I had overlooked before, I found the
one card that might actually make fusions tournament okay. Praise Konami/upperdeck, its
Metamorphasis!!!

Metamorphasis is an excellent card. Others don't agree though. I don't see why. Sac a magician
of faith, get a Thousands-eyes-restrict, drain a monster. Congratulations, you just removed a
monster, pounded your opponent with his own monster's attack points, and established a defense
more formidable than gravity bind or messenger could ever be. And all for two cards, what's not
to like?

Besides last paragraph's shear deliciousness, its easy to acquire for those with low budgets.
TER costs anywhere from 5-8 dollars a pop off of the sites I use, and metamorphosis is a COMMON!
Cards that support TER like Magician of faith are easily attainable. Heck, if your playing TER,
toss in opressed people, Cat's ear tribe, and neko mane king!!

For my TER deck, I even use Magical Merchant. Another COMMON one star that allows me to pick up
cards til I draw metamorphosis or some other magic or trap, then sends everything else to the
grave. throw in a hefty bunch of shallow grave, and you have a crazy, out of the ordinary deck!!
