Subject: Clown Decks; Genius or Nuisance? Mike B. Hello again to all of the Pojo fans out there! It is I, Mike, out once again to talk to the people about Yu-Gi-Oh! My topic tonight is Clown Decks. Are they genius or a nuisance? Perhaps a little of column A and a little of column B? Let's look into it. First, let me say congratulations to Someguy for his fine work on an original deck! It is very good, and that shows. More and more of these seemingly wimpy little creatures, known to most of us as Dream Clown, are found throughout the tournament environment. Most call these deck Clown Control, as they use 2 Dream Clowns, one in Defence, one in Attack, to continuously destroy the opponent's monsters. Seems incredibly easy to beat, right? Wrong. When interlocking these monsters together, along with a Gravity Bind and/or MoP, these can be incredibly deadly decks, chipping away at your Life Points 1200 points a turn. Sound small? Not really. In a mere 6 - 7 turns (only using Dream Clowns) the user can demolish your LP. This is when it is not comboed with Hayabusa Knight, Crass Clown, or other lvl. 3 attackers. This makes the Clown decks incredibly hard to beat. A lot of people think that these decks are unstoppable, worse than Exodia itself. These people are wrong. It may be an impressive deck, but with a few well thought out cards, your opponent's strategy may go down the drain. Think a mere 1200/900 monster is good? Not really. Find a monster with 1400 attack, that is a lvl 3, and side deck it. Or even better, Giant Soldier of Stone. Low attackers are finally made worthy here. The 1400 club is able to beat Dream Clown in attack or defence, and also take out the pesky Crass Clown that keeps showing up. You would think these people would combo with Polymerization and Bickuribox . . . Anyway, back to beating the deck. Heavy Storms and Giant Trunades should be side-decked or main-decked to fight against these. Mystical Space Typhoon is another good idea for you to consider. You want to destroy the Gravity Binds or MoP's so that you can attack with your lvl 4+ monsters. Jinzo is another incredibly good card to fight this with. They got Gravity Bind? Throw out Jinzo! HAHAHAH! Incredibly simple. Try Imperial Order as well. Obviously not together, but against MoP. This is getting expensive. Remove Trap, De-Spell, and Dust Tornado are good to counter them in a pinch. They aren't as hard to get. But the most prominent deck to destroy the Clown Control deck is Pegasus' deck; The Thousand Eyes Idol deck! (Sure he uses Toons too...oh well!) This card stops all other cards from attacking and CHANGING POSITIONS! Great card against this deck! You need a speed Relinquished deck with poly and 100 Eyes Idol. Well that's all that I can think of. If you have comments or positive input on this, email me at frieza_00@hotmail.com . Note to Wartortle: I put my email in this time. =) Have fun with these tips! Hope you beat those Clown Control decks! Mike Glad to be of service.
