Subject: Yugioh through my eyes-adam17

I gave up yugi-oh about 3 months ago.  Now, I'm not dissing the game or 
anything (I think it's cool, but I'm into diffrent card games) but some 
kids need to get a clue.  Intellegence (and if I spelled this wrong I don't 
care) is a minor factor in determining the game.  What it boils down to is 
who has the luck and the better deck.  Now granted sometimes players with 
lowly common cards in their decks pull of a long shot win because the other 
player got a sucky hand, but that happens not to often.  The kids at the 
shop I play at do buy boxes, but most of the time they get their better 
cards from the case. I don't blame them, you don't have to pick through 
packs to get the cards you want, you just get them.

But the reason I quit yugioh was this:  I was keeping up with all the other 
people around there but at a big price, I had to really ignore alot of 
other card games, I had to rush my dad out of the house every Saturday just 
to make a tournament, and finally this sad sight made me forget about the 
whole thing completly

Kids around the shop were stealing, crying when they lost, parents were 
sitting there waiting for their kids to play games that were long after the 
tournament, (believe me a lot of them try to compensate for the fact that 
they lost in the tournament, and they are trying to find somone with a 
crappier deck than theirs) or noob kids not getting it when my friends and 
I tell them that 3 torrential tributes are better than 1 gravity bind, and 
last but not least an argument over the phone between a kid and his dad 
about yugi-oh that ended with the kid cursing out his dad, the people in 
the shop and some of the employees.

Try playing other card games you see other kids playing at shops, you might 
be astounded at how mello they are (some aren't but thats cuz the have 
something to prove) try taking a break from yugi-oh and see how many people 
have lost the word "its just a game" from their vocabulary.
