Subject: Why Jinzo Is So Overrated-Tyler I see Jinzo as the MOST overrated card in the entire game. *sets up hatemail shield* I'm not saying that it is a bad card; I think its attack status is very good and its effect is excellent. But I think it is extremely overrated, overly played, and overly feared. Why? Because Jinzo negates all traps, it leaves its controller zero ability to protect it or themselves. If a control-switch card is used (Change of Heart, Snatch Steal, Creature Swap, Invader of the Throne, etc.) or simply a removal card (Dark Hole, Raigeki, Man-Eater Bug, Hane-Hane, Penguin Soldier, Final Destiny, Newdoria, Tribute To The Doomed, etc.) or even a monster with higher attack...Jinzo becomes utterly powerless in the face of these dangers (unless you use Rush Recklessly in the third case). Now, it is true that a well-timed Jinzo can help deliver an explosive strike (even if it's only one-turn) into the opponent's hand/field/deck/Life---I'm not denying that it can be mortally dangerous. But still, even if the Traps are down, there are still handy Effect Monsters, whether on the field or in the hand (Kuriboh), and there's Scapegoat. Experienced players will likely be able to and/or a) counter b) mitigate damage c) destroy Jinzo d) recover from losses. Yes, yes, Beatdown decks and the like should always pack a Jinzo in, but it seems odd to me that so many people build their decks and rate cards in morbid anticipation of it. Questions? Comments?
