Subject: Corrections for the July 1st Tips Hey. I also have a correction for the Gradius' Option CoTD, but I'll wait and see if anyone else caught it before I put it in here. I also couldn't view "Exodia Tactics-DekuScrub" on my computer, so I have no way of telling whether he's violating any rulings or misreading any cards. Corrections on Last Tip: Yes, you CAN summon tribute monsters during your opponent's turn with Ultimate Offering, but only during the Battle Phase. This is also why Magical Hats + Ultimate Offering actually works. DrBubbles Top 25 Yu-Gi-Oh Monsters: Bazoo is also incapable of destroying Millennium Shield. In Pharaonic Guardian there will be roughly seven flip effect monsters that Sangan cannot search for. FINAL THOUGHT: Injection Fairy Lily's effect can be used once per damage step, not just "once." The ATK boost goes away after the damage step. Light Deck combos and strategies: Hoshiningen powers up all LIGHT Main-type monsters by 500. Thunder Nyan-Nyan and Airknight Parshath are both 1900 ATK. Their ATK is boosted to 2400, so they cannot kill a Jinzo without killing themselves and they cannot kill a Ha Des or Skull at all. Lots of random stuff: Props to Cait Sith for bringing that ruling to light. This is also why you can't use Horn of Heaven on a Fusion, Ritual, or revived monster (unless it was revived by its own effect). You can use Solemn Judgment on the card that summoned the monster, though. Mask Theme Trash Or Strategy: 1. Where'd you get 3 tribute monsters from? The ritual makes you tribute monsters whose total levels equal 8 or more. Therefore, you could tribute something like a Blue-eyes and summon it. Or even tribute a second Masked Beast. 2. "Masked Doll" does not exist either in the English or the Japanese card games, and it cannot exist because the definition of a "negative effect" is vague and imprecise. Tributing one of your monsters can be seen as both a positive effect (free up space for more monsters, or remove it to special summon something) and a negative effect (one less monster to attack with). Losing LP can be seen as both a positive effect (Megamorph) or a negative effect (you have 100 LP left). Response to: Things Concerning Yu-Gi-Oh! -TheProphet: After looking through the card lists for the next four Japanese sets I could NOT find out what the "nasty japanese combo" with Upstart Goblin was. Tips for building a strong Toon Deck: "Quick Play" is an anime card and, as such, is not real. It has not been released in Japanese, so don't expect it to be released in English for at least a few years. Especially considering Konami is currently releasing (as promos) cards from DUELIST KINGDOM, and Quick Play was used in BATTLE CITY. (Joey and Odion, if you really want to know) Well, since nobody brought it up I'll put it here: On the June 30th CotD review Gradius' Option, DuelMonster typed the following: Gradius is only 1200 ATK + Cyclone Laser boosts 300 ATK but adds trample effect (doing damage when attacking monsters are in defense) + Gradius' Option = A couple spearing 1500/1800 Atk machines that can attack under Gravity Bind. DuelMonster is wrong. Cyclon Laser's "trample" effect only applies to the Gradius it is equipped on, and not to any Gradius' Option on the field. And the defense of a Gradius with Cyclon Laser should be 800, not 1800. SomeGuy, DuelMonster, and Adam F. all wrote that Gradius' Option was level 3. It's level 1. And to clear up a ruling question I know will come up, if Limiter Removal is used while a Gradius and a Gradius' Option is on the field, both of them will have their attack modified to 2400. Gradius' Option does NOT copy Gradius' ATK (2400) and double it from Limiter Removal (4800). This is because Gradius' Option's effect overrides Limiter Removal.
