Subject: 5 Boxes! - Potter Ok.. This is my second tip, (my first one wasn't posted; I still wonder why) and it's more of a story... One fine day (;x) I was walking into the mall, and I saw this kid, I think he was no older than 7. He walked out of the store which sells Yugioh cards with his parents holding five, yes FIVE boxes of Legacy of Darkness. This is a very, very disturbing thing to see. I later looked at the prices of a box. They weren't exactly cheap.. My idea is to buy one box a set (if that). I think I saw someone else suggest it, but I can't remember his/her name. I would understand the whole 5 boxes thing if he were 16+ without his parents. This means he would probably have a job, and is spending a wide majority of the money he earned for the cards. The fact that his parents were holding them was a definite sign that the parents bought them. I looked at their faces. Want to know their expressions? 1. They looked tired from hauling the boxes. 2. They were muttering to their spouse.. I stepped a little closer. I heard, and I quote, "I can't believe this.. He just took all the money we were supposed to give him for his birthday and bought this crap..." Moral? Yugioh is quickly becoming a "rich-kid" game. *puts up hatemail shield*. I know, I know, just because they got 5 boxes doesn't mean they're rich. Strange... The only people who come up with that comment probably have 3-4 boxes sitting behind them. *puts up addition to hatemail shield* I highly recommend "Budget" decks. I run one. I swear to you, I bought the Kaiba Starter when it came out, my brother got the Yugi. We traded a few, I can't remember the cards. I then bought a pack of LoB, 3 MRD, 2 MRL, 1 PSV, and 4 LoN packs. I haven't bought a single LoD yet. I hope to get them in a tourney. Well, I got semi-lucky in the packs. I got a bunch of Amphibian Beasts, Rock Spirits, Aqua Spirits, etc. I traded my brother like 6 rares and a few commons for a Magic Cylinder, and now my deck is good. Now, think about it. $10.00 for the starter + $3.00 per pack ($3.00 X 11 packs = $33.00) so $10.00 + $33.00 $43 dollars. I haven't bought any boxes, and I dont think I will.. Until next time...
