Subject: Card of Safe Return...how good is it?

Hi, guys! My name is Lyle. I am a Yu-Gi-Oh! fan and I've played the game
since the beginning. I was reading your reviews on COTD about Card of Safe
Return, and I don't think this card got the respect it deserves. In the 3
reviews, there is not one person who found the combo I found with the Card.
Here it is:

1X COSR + (minumum) 2X Solemn Wish + 3X Revival Jam + 1X Jam Defender: Ok,
it's a 8 card combo and almost completely fills up your m/t spots, but
here's what it does. You draw 4 cards per turn. Yeah. 4 cards. You heard
me. Oh yeah, and you're invincible (ok, not quite, but close enough). With
no drawbacks. Yeah. 4 cards a turn + invincibility, with no drawbacks.
Granted, to buy this combo in singles would run you $100 easy, but you're
invincible and you draw 4 cards per turn. Here's how it works: First, you
have 6 cards set, except for 1 Revival Jam and your COSR. Your opponent
attacks. You flip over Jam Defender if he's not attacking your Jam. He
kills your Jam. You pay the 1000 LP to put him back next turn. He kills
your other 2 jams. So far you're out 3 Revival Jams and 3000LP. Great.
Now comes the fun part. Because your Jam comes back from your graveyard and
you have 3 Jams returning, you draw 3 cards. For each card you draw, your
Wishes (now face up) give you 1000LP. So you've recovered your 3000LP you
lost to the Jams. Then you draw a card for your turn, so you've drawn 4
cards so far and your Wishes give you another 1000LP. You're now up 1000LP
from last turn and you just drew 4 cards for free. And because your Jams
are now on the field in DEF mode, your monsters are safe because of Jam
Defender. So you gain 1000LP and draw 4 cards per turn. And COSR is the
backbone of this combo. This 2.5-star card (on average) gives you 4 cards
per turn and invincibility. Not bad, eh? Just for your amusement (and the
deck garage if you feel like forwarding this E-mail), here's a deck based
around this combo (keep in mind I don't spend all my $ on YGO so I may be
missing some superpower cards. This is meant for casual play only.)

Total: 56 cards.

This deck basically runs on the above engine with some cute adjustments.
There's another combo in here in case you haven't noticed it, one which I
use in my own deck: Flash Assailant + Reverse Trap. If you use the card
drawing engine above, you can easily win using this deck without Exodia.
You draw 4 cards per turn, right? That means Assailant gets -1600/-1600
every turn, right? You have Infinite Cards, right? Lets turn our little
buddy here into Slifer the Sky Dragon, shall we? According to Upper Deck
(yes, I thought this combo was too cheap myself so I double checked with
them), if you play Reverse Trap, our little buddy becomes
400X+2000/400X+2000 where X is the number of cards in your hand. So you
have 16 cards (4 turns using the engine), your Assailant friend becomes
8400/8400. Yes, 8400 ATK on 1 monster. That's a 1-hit KO for anyone
counting. And we have 3 copies of our buddy in here. That's over 25000
damage in 1 turn! There is not a single engine I know of that can withstand
that (assuming all damage is being dealt directly to LP). In my deck, I'm
not rich so I don't have this engine or Infinite cards, so I make due with
the 6-card hand limit which I fill up and go for 13200 damage in 1 shot.
Still not too shabby as the highest LP I've ever gotten was in the vicinity
of 15000 even with 2 Enchanted Javelins, Kisetai, and Dian Keto, 2 of which
are no longer in my deck.

Anyway, I hope you liked this!
