the underestimated gilamonster and other cards i thought were crap

A while back I went to tourney where I traded my Exodia for a box of LoN. 
In it got some cards I considered pure crap, Gilamonster, Unfriendly 
Amazon, and Hysteric Fairy. I looked at Gilamonsters effect: This monsters 
normal summon may be treated as a special summon, if you choose special 
summon your opponent MAY, special one monster from their graveyard to the 
field. I said "If the monster isn't even 1700 ATK what good is it?" Then it 
hit sometime later as I am somewhat slow on the uptake, I could get out 
tribute monster in one turn with this! Or I could fool my opponent into 
bringing back that really strong monster for my Relinquished.

Next came Unfriendly Amazon and Hysteric Fairy, Unfriendly Amazon effect 
may make it difficult to keep on the field, but who cares? How long do 
monsters stay on the field anyway? At 2000 ATK it'll do some damage before 
it goes. Hysteric Fairy, tribute two monsters to gain 1000 LP, big deal, 
that really isn't to great, but wait it has 1800 ATK! It even has a little 
combo, that I've used a few times: get Hysteric Fairy on the Field, then 
Goblin Attack Force, then Unfriendly Amazon, attack then tribute GAF and UA 
to Hysteric Fairy's effect. 1000 LP isn't that big a deal, but how long do 
those two monsters stay the field anyhow.

If you like my tip, use it. If you don't like it, don't use it, whatever 
you do don't email me unless you have a legitimate reason, other than 
saying that this combo sucks or vice versa.
