Subject: ideas/tips: Card combo web + combos + other stuff- Counter Arts Al I am fairly new to this game but I have an idea of easing the pain of waiting for that card combo to come out properly. I don't know if any of you guys already know all about this but I throwing this around. A card combo web is a collection of cards where each single card is a combo for 2 or more other cards. Here is my web. Combo web: Chain Energy + Card Destruction: If chain energy has been on the field for awhile... some decent cards would probably collect in your oppoent's hand. So when I have practically no cards in my hand I play this Chain Energy + Cure Mermaid/Dancing Fairy: IF I could actually get this combo out (I'm surprised I did for awhile against an experienced player using reinforcements or Reverse Trap) I can basiclly cure like crazy and won't have to worry about LP as much. Keeping it on the field is annoying because you need trap cards and such. Chain Energy + Trap hole: Hahahahaha!! 500 LP for nothing! Reverse Trap + Equip cards (Black pendant too!): I equip this on YOUR monster boosting it's attack! That ends my turn. Say... would you like to attack? Muh ha ha ha Fissure + Chain Energy: Well... there goes that tributed monster. how much LP did you spend to bring out that monster? Cure Mermaid/Dancing Fairy + Reinforcments/Castle Walls: Boy... does your oppoent want to kill those cure monsters. If they were any other monster, they usually wouldn't fall for Reinforcements/Castle Walls trick. Fortunately, some people have one track mind for eliminating your cure monsters. (I switch cure mermaid to attack mode and end my turn. You still attack it? Oh my...) Collected Power + Reverse trap: If you're lucky, there would be enough equip cards so that the attacking monster would end up with a 0 ATK when they try to attack... oh say... your Laberith Wall. I have lasted so long using all of these stratiges against a stupid secret rare dragon card (forgot name) and and a Lord of D. (it's a good strategy actually... I just call it stupid because it was annoying up against it). ~True Duel examples~ I was up against the above combo when I had several face down traps and magic cards and a face chain energy. Before this I got rid of a few decent cards in his hand and had already lasted pretty long. I remember having a cure mermaid in defense with chain on the field. Somehow, it stayed face-up on the field for awhile. He was being crippled because everything had a tacked on 500 LP cost. I could still play or set one card and net gain 300 LP. So I had a major advantage coming from my mermaid and he knew it. I quickly switched my cure mermaid to attack mode without attacking and ended my turn. Pretty obvious right? But resistance was futile and he attacked with L4 mon with 1800 ATK and I flipped my reinforcements. Oops... you just lost your monster which you paid 500LP for, lost 200 LP and I still gain 800 LP points. And I get to attack directly too! Joy! I also did a Chain energy/card destruction combo too on him. Chain energy was on the field for awhile so his good cards were collecting in his hand. So I played card destruction and I heard an "oh man, that was a good card" from his assisting friend. Phew.. lucky me. Eventually, I drained him to about 1000 LP while I was at 10 000 LP. Cure mermaid died and I had no monsters. Luckily, Wabaku stalled for a turn, trap hold lost him another 500 LP for no reason so no more cards from his hand! (he had no m/t on the field) But he still had that high ATK L8 monster (like about 2600+ ATK or something) on the field and I had NO monsters with higher than 2500 ATK. Luckily, I drew a man-eater bug and poof! Finally...I summoned man eating treasure chest and won. So ya... that's it! Counter Arts out!- gunblade9@hotmail.com
