Subject: Advice on Overrated cards Hi, this is Chilidrinker for an attempt to advise the people who think some cards may be amazing, when in reality... they aren't. I'll devise a numerical system of 1-10. 10. EXODIA - With the release of Metal Raiders, it has made it easier to get Exodia out. Still, it's way too slow and nullified by Card Destruction. (BTW, you can't you Last Will to help you get exodia, Last Will puts it on the field, you need it in your hand. If at all you, Witch of the Black Forest and Sangan, Cannon Soldier helps too. Those 3 work well in one big combo. 9. LAVA BATTLEGUARD - Granted it increases a bit using Swamp Battleguards, but these 2 require 1 tribute and you can only have a MAX of 3 in your deck, so your cahnces are slim. 8. LABYRINTH TANK - Another card wich relies solely on 3 cards and does less than DM. 7. MUKA MUKA - I used to think this card was amazing, but that's because I thought it said increase it by 600, not 300, for every card in your hand. Sadly it does say 300, at MAX this card can do 2400, but that's with a FULL hand... (6 cards) 6. STOP DEFENSE - Hmmm... this can be good, but only if your opponent has a Mystical Elf or whatnot in SET and you know for sure because you can see it. If not though, what if it's a Man Eater Bug? You don't want to risk it. 5. SOUL RELEASE - Yay, no more BEWD, now they can't reborn it. Draw. Monster Reborn. *silence* 4. DARK MAGICIAN - Ouch... 2 tributes for only 2500... 3. GAIA THE FIERCE KNIGHT - Even worse then DM at 2300 points. This is a definite deck no, no. 2. GATE GUARDIEN - Oh yay, GG, this one speaks for itself... let's see, you need Kazejin, Sanga and Suijin all on the field, as well as a GG in your hand. Let's think all the parts are 2 tribute. This means, if you got a perfect hand, such as, KA, SA, SU, GG, *-****. This would at least take you... 5 turns to draw the next cards, as well as, 9 turns to send the three out. Do you not think the opponent will counter this? Of course they will, particularily the *-****. The only things you can use are, a hand destruction card of some sort, Monster Reborn, or, Ultimate Offering. 1. TIME WIZARD - Yes, the dreaded #1. Time Wizard seems like it has a good effect right? Wrong. The Time Wizrd may destroy all opponent's monsters on the field, but what about the 50/50 chance you lose? You see Time Wizard can make or break. You can try to eliminate a power-house (you all know what they are) with Time Wizard, but if you lose, the price is worse. You win, destroy all oppenent's monsters. You lose, same, but you lose all the attacks added together on your side, divided by two! Last I checked a coin had a 50/50 chance. 50%. 50/100. 0.5. Your opponent has just as good of a chance as you to win. Do you really want to base it on luck? Sure you could use it only if you have TW on the field but if you fail you can't summon again and your opponent gets free LP damage. The only good combo is a, TW - Ultimate Offering (but that's a lot of LP) or TW Waboku, maybe Negate Attack or Kuriboh. This Tip was made by: Chilidrinker.
