Subject: Three of the Best Deck Types - Otacon1182 1. Direct Damage/Burner: Have you seen these babies? Just get a TON of cards that can deal direct damage, and slip them into your deck. It might seem hard to get enough direct damage cards to whittle down your opponent's Life Points to zero, but I say that all you need to go with your DD cards is strategy. Either focus on one certain strategy, or center your deck around a lot. What I'm saying is, don't sweat iff you lose a few duels with a beginning Direct Damage/Burner deck, just keep on trying harder! Main Cards: Any cards that can cause direct damage to the opponent's lp; some strong ATK or DEF monsters to defend your own lp. Score: 3.6/5 2. Disruption: Disruption Decks are rarely used and not many people have heard of it, but these decks can definitely kick butt! Since they're centered around using magic & trap cards to "DISRUPT" opponent's strategies, and make them lose by having nothing left do that can win them the duel. Disruptions can have their advantages and their disadvantages - it takes out opponent's strategies, but can sometimes allow your opponent to freely attack your lp if you draw mostly magic and traps. Main Cards: Magics like Mystical Space Typhoon, Raigeki, White Hole, Swords of Revealing Light, Burning Land, etc. Traps like Trap Hole, Mirror Wall, Mirror Force, etc. Powerful monsters to wipe out opponent's weaker monsters. Score: 4/5 3. Beatdown: You guys may hate me for doing this but I think it's the truth. Beatdowns aren't so bad! Of course, I know that there are countless amounts of strategies that can be used against Beatdowns, but overall, when used correctly, can be a very challenging deck to take on. You see, since Beatdowns require strong lvl. 4 or under monsters, that might be a little hard to get, but it can be easy if you try hard enough. It also needs SOME powerful lvl. 5+ monsters, and that right there is the little part of a Beatdown that requires some strategy. Beatdowns deserve more credit than what most people give. Main Cards: Any powerful monster cards lvl. [well, anything as long as they're strong], and a couple of magic & traps just in case as back-up if they can't get any monsters on the field. Score: 3/5 Let me guess, you're not very happy with that last deck. Well, it doesn't matter. If there's any questions, e-mail me at otacon1182@cs.com.
