Yu-Gi-Oh! Deck Building tips plus Worthy and Unworthy cards.

Deck Building Tips

1. Selecting monster cards

When choosing monster cards, watch for four things, attack, defense, level, and effect. Monsters that are level four or less should either have an attack higher than or equal to 1500, a defense higher than or equal to 1800, or a really good effect, like the man-eater bug. Monsters that are level five and six should either have an attack higher than or equal to 2000 or a defense higher than or equal to 2000. Effect monsters are not very necessary in this level, as most unavailable at the time. Monsters that are level 7 or higher should have an attack power of 2500 or more. Do not use any monsters at this level for much defending, as most were made for attacks. Effect monsters at this level are also useful, so use them if you wish.

2. Selecting magic and trap cards

Combos and chains are everything in a duel. Include many trap and magic that can cause combos and many that can cause and end chains.

3. Finishing the Deck

Try to have your deck between 40 and 50 cards. If you need more room, you can go up to 60, but going over 60 will cause problems. Try to also have many strategies in a deck, by not trying to do the same combos over and over, or keep a side deck in handy. These will keep your opponent guessing, and you won’t be very predictable in upcoming duels.

These are Cards I believe to be worthy and unworthy in decks.

By Worthy, I mean that if you put these cards in your deck, they will be guaranteed to help you in a duel You can‘t go wrong with any of these cards.

The Worthy Cards

All cards on the restricted list

La Jinn Mystical Genie of the Lamp (SDK) Highest attack with no drawback.

By Unworthy, I mean that you should never put these cards in your deck, they can only make you suffer in a duel. You will regret it if you put these cards in your deck.

The Unworthy Cards

Two-Pronged Attack (SDK, SDY, LOB) It’s not worth it.

Gate Guardian (MRD) Almost impossible to summon.

Sword of Deep Seated (MRD) Destroys your power to draw.

Ring of Magnetism (MRD) Just don’t put it in. Causes too much controversy.
