Wrom: UQZAAFXISHJEXXIMQZUIVOTQNQEM Subject: Tips and corrections - Evan Hartshorn First of all, it would be to any duelist's advantage to check out www.yugioh-card.com, the official card game website for rulings and clarifications. All righty then, Regarding Monster Reborn: I have seen it stated that only monsters that have been played can be brought back with this card. This is not true. Any Monster that is in either graveyard can be special summoned with the exception of Fusion Monsters (which shouldn't be in the discard pile in the first place... destroyed fusion Monsters return to the fusion deck.) Ritual Monsters (Gotta use the ritual, man...) and monsters like the Gate Gaurdian. However, for monsters that require specific tributes, like Gate Guardian and Ritual Monsters, IF they have been properly summoned before being discarded, they may be special summoned via Monster Reborn. Recognize whats going on with the rules here? I'll spell it out: Killer combos are cool, but Extra-Powerfull Monsters that have to be gotten to via dificult sequences aren't allowed shortcuts. Play nice. Clarification #2: Lord of D. prevents effects to Dragons when the Magic, Trap, or Effect Monster card specifically designates a target. This means that the card specifies a range of legal targets AND TELLS YOU TO PICK ONE OR MORE TARGET FROM THAT RANGE. Blanket effects like Dragon Capture Jar or Dark Hole that automatically pick their targets cannot be countered with Lord of D.'s effect. This still makes him a rather tempting target in a Dragon-Heavy Deck... I'm thinking bait for a booby trap. Hmm... Clarification #3: Man-Eater Bug HAS to destroy something when flipped. If it is the only monster on the feild, it destroyes itself. If you just entirely wiped out your opponent's lineup, think hard before flipping you Man-Eater Bug. One of your monsters WILL kick the can. Tip #1: Even with limits, Monster Reborn is a powerfull card. My brother once used it to bring back is Lord of D. and fill the feild with Dragons. Hence cards like Soul Release. If you suspect you might be dueling someone who uses Monster Reborn alot, or feel you'r deck would be susceptable to a Cheerfull Coffin/Monster Reborn combo, at least put it in your Side Deck. Tip #2: Ultimate Sacrifice is powerful when combined with a few Soul Exchanges and/or Change of Hearts. I'm sure it has been pointed out a million times before, but: use the Soul Exchanges and Change of Hearts to tribute your opponent's monsters and bring out your heavy hitters. Just be wary of Dark Holes and Fissures when playing like this... Tip #3: It's a game for the sake of Pete. Have fun when you play it. That is an order. Your move.
