From: Vash Colon Subject: Vash's Top 10 Packs Vash's Top 10 Yu-Gi-Oh Packs. I am back again for another Top 10. For the past 4 years Yu-Gi-Oh has become one of the most played games for kids, teenagers, and even adults. I will not add any of the new packs like Soul of the Duelists and Rise of Destiny. This is just for the packs that had the secret rare. From the start of it all to Ancient Sanctuary, and what impact the pack made. So let's start with #10. 10) Metal Raiders- This is where some of the best cards came out. Cards like Mirror Force, Heavy Storm, Seven Tools, Magic Jammer, and Solemn Judgment. Some of our silver lettered cards that were in almost everyone's deck was also in this pack like Magician of faith, Witch of the Black Forest, and Sangan. Metal Raiders changed the way our cards were played and used. 9) Labyrinth of Nightmare- This pack had a lot of great cards and its 2 secret rare cards made it a good pack. We saw our 1st monster with 1900 atk and no effect. Hello Gemini Elf's. Besides the lady's, we also had the mask cards that came out. Mask of weakness, Mask of Restrict, and Mask of the Accursed. As well as the powerful ritual monster: The Masked Beast. If you wanted to pull a Marik, then this was the pack. With Revival Jam, Card of Safe Return, and Infinite Hand. Don't forget our new version of Dark Hole, only, it's a trap. You know what I am talking about. With the new equip cards like Mage Power and United we Stand. LON was a successful pack to waste your money on. 8) Pharaonic Guardian- Kaiba's trademark card came out in this pack: Ring of Destruction. Flipping your monster back and forth also became a new adding to the game, for example, Guardian Sphinx. Then most of our zombies also came out in this pack like Spirit Reaper, Pyramid Turtle, Dark Dust Spirit, and Nightmare Horse. Don Zaloog was a powerful warrior with a sick effect. All in all, PGD was a decent pack full of Fiends and Zombies. One you can spend the green on. 7) Magic Ruler- This pack is for Pegasus. Toons have entered the dueling world. Even though not that many people played toons they still changed the game. There were a lot of rituals in this set as well as equip cards. Quick play spell cards were also in this set. There were also powerful cards, Maha Vialo, for example. Cards like Giant Trunade, Painful Choice, Giant Germ, and Molten Destruction all helped in some sort of deck. The most important part of this set is the start hand disruption, like Forceful Sentry, Delinquent Due, and Confiscation. Magic Ruler was a good pack for those who liked hand disruption and rituals at that time. 6) Ancient Sanctuary- Even though this was the last pack we would ever see a secret rare, it didn't do to bad. The cards in this set were mostly for fairies. So if you ever wanted to play fairies, this was the set to get what you need. As well as special cards for Dark Magician and Blue Eyes. With the including of the new Change of Heart, well kind of, Enemy Controller. Not too much to say about this pack. It was good and earned #6 in my list. 5) Dark Crisis- Beside the release of Vampire Lord, DCR had it all. Exodia Necross, Shinato, Kaiser Glider, Cost Down, and Interdimensional Transporter. Should I have to say a lot about this pack? It kicked butt with Machines, Warriors, and Zombies: As well as the start of the Guardian Monsters. Dark Crisis was a great pack nothing more. 4) Pharaoh's Servant-This pack was perfect, well almost. It had great cards like Goblin Atk Force, Call of the Haunted, and Premature Burial. The 2 secret rare cards in here were also worth all the recognition, Jinco and Imperial Order. Say what you want, those 2 cards are powerful, way powerful and with the support of the cards in this set with them, PSV was a set we will all remember. 3) Legacy of Darkness- This pack was made for those Dragon and Warrior duelists out there. There is not much to say as well about this pack except the fact that it was a great pack. The cards in here were just, WOW. Beside the Dragon and Warrior cards in this set there were also very powerful Fiends, like Dark Ruler Ha Des and Opticlops. The 2 secret rare cards in this pack made it all worth buying. Yata-Garasu and Injection Fairy Lily made this set just more WOW then it already is. LOD is definitely #3 for me. 2) Invasion of Chaos- A pack that changed how a lot of people played and that a lot of people do play. Chaos is the name of the game with this set. With the incredible power of the 3 Chaos monsters, this set was sick. I mean really, look at what we got; Berserk Gorillas, Freed the Brave Wanderer, and Manticore of Darkness. As well as 3 of the most destructive cards ever in English, the 3 chaos monsters: Dark Magician of Chaos, Black Luster Solider- Envoy of the Beginning, and the great Chaos Emperor Dragon- Envoy of the End. Invasion of Chaos earned #2 but not #1. Yet that doesn't mean it wasn't a good pack, it was great. Number 1 is the pack that started it all, the one that everyone hopefully has not forgotten…. 1) Legend of Blue Eyes- This set started Yu-Gi-Oh. The most powerful dragon is in this set as well as the master of all magicians. Cards like Rageki, Dark Hole, Man-Eater, and Hane-Hane were in this set, including the 5 pieces of Exodia. This is #1 to me. The one that started it all and the one that made Yu-Gi-Oh possible, well in my opinion anyway. That's my Top 10 Packs. I know Magicians Force is not in here and it is a good pack but I don't think it did a lot for us beside Breaker and XYZ. Well have a good day.
