Kevin D.'s Top Ten Yugioh list for Exodia decks: I know there are only a handful of players (and even less serious players) who still play an Exodia style deck. However, I've found that played correctly an Exodia deck can stop all other types. And I do mean all others. This top ten will demonstrate what I mean. Of course I've left out some of the staples. (ex: Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Mirror force, Magic Cylinder. Monster stables: Cyber Jar, Fiber Jar, Jinzo, V-Lord, Witch, Sangan.) Of course the 5 pieces of Exodia go without saying therefore I will leave them off of the list. Honorable Mention: Giant Germ and Nimble Momonga. Yes Giant Germ and Nimble Momonga. These cards are only effective if you have 3 in your deck. It will call out the other two and allow you to inflict just a small amount of damage to your opponent or gain 1000 to you. Magic Jammer: Discard a card to from your hand and stop them from destroying your s/t cards. 10. Imperial Order/ Judgment of Anubus: again this is needed to protect your other cards that you'll read about later in the list. 9. Magical Merchant: I know, "This guy's crazy." However Exodia deck's are all about stalling and drawing the 5 Exodia cards. Therefore this card can significantly thin your deck. I've dumped 6 cards off this card before. It can really thin down your deck and give you a huge chance of drawing the cards you need. 8. Pharaoh's Treasure: Using Magical Merchant you run the risk of dumping Exodia the Forbidden One into the graveyard. Pharaoh's Treasure will allow you to draw it from your graveyard and into your hand. 7. Morphing Jar: Dumping your hand and your opponents hand and drawing 5 cards will thin your deck considerably. 6. Airknight of Parshath: Thinner Thinner Thinner. Draw, Draw, Draw. Boom (laughs evily.) 5 Exodia Necross: Last ditch effort to save your bacon. If for some reason you've lost all the pieces into the graveyard, use him to stall until you get your Fiber Jar and reshuffle. Odds are he won't win the match for you, but he can hold the line for a few turns. 4. Messenger of Peace: Finally past all the thinner. This card can stop a beatdown deck in its tracks. You only have to pay 100 life points and stop all 1500 or higher is worth the payment, especially if you play it early. 3. Gravity Bind: Same as Messenger only no payment. The weakness is it's vulnerable to Jinzo, but there are ways around him. 2. Backup Solider: Call back 3 non-effect monsters with less than 1500 atk points. Only Exodia's head has an effect so you need at least two of these maybe 3. Finally, last but certainly not least... 1. PAINFUL CHOICE. Probably the best card ever created for this game. Painful 3 Exodia pieces, and a couple of monsters (*Cough * Airknight *cough* Serpent) then use your trusty witch and sangan, follow up w/ a backup soldier and boom instant victory. I know exodia decks are hard to play, and I know some players (Brainless Beatdowners) would object to anything but Beatdown, but when an Exodia deck is played right even beatdown can't stop it. I would appreciate any constructive criticism you could give. Thank you and Happy Dueling.
