Yo, here is my list for the top ten
cards that require one tribute off the feild. Please note, I have not put
in Jinzo, Airknight Parshath or the V-Lord because we all know how
good they are. Well, here it is:
10) Kaiser Glider: The returning one
monster back to the hand is not all bad, but the other effect is something only
really used for Jinzo hunting. Also not searchable by anything. Nice
picture though. Not seeing as much play though, as the only real things
you want to return are sacrificed monsters that killed this, and one-sacrifice
monsters are rarely being outmuscled now.
9) Great Dezard: smaller attack, but
the effect is good: by destroying one monster, he can't be targeted by trap or
magics. Destroy two, summon the mighty fushioh richie. The destroy a
monster thing can be bad, as he is outmuscled by practically everything and the
main face down monsters he gets rid of are mainly jars or spirit reapers.
Still, stuff like Don Zaloog and twin headed behemoth are all
good.......
8) Manticore of darkness: Now 2300
attack for a one-tribute monster is getting pretty weak, but he has unlimited
recursion ability if you run a beast/beast-warrior/winged beast deck. Wild
natures release is definitely not wasted on this
guy.
7) Freed the matchless general: 2300
attack is getting low, but an absolute must-have for warrior decks and also
negates magic cards which target him, which can help because he can't be
snatched or change of heart-ed.
6) Levia dragon- Daedalus: This
monster is pretty goddam good: 2400 attack is the base strength for any
tribute monster now, but with a built in dark hole effect (without this guy
leaving the feild) he is a must have for ANY umi deck and if you have him
but don't run an umi deck and have no other tribute monsters for some reason,
his attack still pulls him through.
5) Zaborg the thunder monarch: base
attack of 2400 which is good and destroys one monster when summoned succesfully
(excluding special summoned). Pretty good, takes out anything: Jinzo, BLS,
whatever. Would have been better if it destroyed when special summoned as
well, as 80% of the time tribute monsters are discarded and then special
summoned........
4) Guardian sphinx: This guy is
actually pretty damn good. crap attack, but you don't have to worry about
that: flip him, take a 1700 chunk out of your opponents life points, put him
back down in defense mode. If your opponent only 4-star monsters, they are
forced to attack the 2400 defense just to prevent him to use the effect.
Then you just flip him back down the next
turn......
3) End of Anubis: Nice built in
Necrovalley effect, 2500 which is unmatched and negates stuff like witch,
mystic tomato etc. that are running rampant. the 0 defense is alright, because
hardly anybody uses book of moon, let alone any trample monsters. Too bad
it does not negate the chaos monsters though, then he would deserve a
lot more respect.
2) Dark ruler Ha des: Ah, the old
dark ruler. One of my personal favourites. Negates ANYTHING
destroyed: Witches, Jars, tomatoes, whatever. 2450 will even smash
Jinzo, and then the Kaiser glider would die and not get his
effect! Bwa ha ha ha ha!
1) Blowback dragon: Now, as I
have said above 2300 is getting pretty weak, but his effect is far too awesome
for that. basically, with luck on your side, you can destroy ANY card on
your opponents side of the feild with no cost. Absolutely
brilliant..........Plus he is
searchable...............
