Alex's Top 10 Yugioh Anime Dueling Mistakes

Ok, first off these are mistakes I've seen on the anime at one point or another.  Not really in any order, just horrible mistakes.  Beside the number, it will say who did it, and when at the end.

10) Yugi--using the SAME trap (real card is Shift) calling it Monster Replace.  Playing it in his double duel with Para and Dox to switch the field posistions of Dark Magician and Black Skull Dragon.  Then, in Face Off Part 1, he plays it again, this time to switch his Curse of Dragon on the field with his Dark Magician from his hand--both incorrect effects.

9) Yugi--playing Mokyuu-the Magical Mist to power up Summon Skull time after time.  How come sometimes he gets 1000 points, but others only a 750 bonus?  Consistency anyone?

8) Weevil--his great moth taking -100 of Gaia the Dragon Champion every second or so.  That was the worst thing I'd ever seen.  Yugi loses 700 lifepoints when destroied, but with all the poisons they kept showing, Dragon Champion would've been at about -10000 by then.

7) This isn't so much a mistake on the anime, just a complaint.  Making Yugi vs. Weevil and Yugi vs. Panik one part instead of two. (Note:  You can see both parts of these duels on the Yugioh VHS and DVD of these episodes.)

6) Joey--playing Graverobber (more in Battle City obviously then Duelist Kingdom) and never losing 2000 lifepoints.  Obviously, that couldn't happen in Duelist Kingdom, but why can't he in Battle City?

5) This is more the show, then anyone else again, but changing monsters names.  Pick a name, and stay with it.  Elf's Knight to Celtic Guardian...Dragon Master Knight to Master of Dragon Soldier...and Gaia the Fierce Knight or Gaia the Dark Knight...*sighs*

4) Kaiba--he played Enemy Controller recently and lost 1000 to do it?  Why would they purposely throw in a negative effect?  Come on...

3) Nearly everyone on the anime has done this--activate a trap card WELL after the suitable time, and left it face down.

2) Nearly anyone--Play a magic card that is NOT quick play or counter on the opponents turn, or whenever else they want.

1) Now, here's my biggest pet peeve.  How come nearly everyone never recognizes a card played.  It happens once in a great while when someone does.  Duels are 3, 4, or more parts (Yugi vs. Kaiba 6, Yugi vs. Marik/Pegasus 5) becaue of this.  It takes 2 or 3 minutes to explain the cards effect.  Also, meaningless side talk, side stories lengthen duels.  Save that (with the exception of Joey waking up today) for another episode altogether.

Thanks for letting me vent a bit.
