Alex's Yugioh Top 10 cards from every booster, including AST and Promos

 

Legend of BEWD

 

10) Polymerization--I realize fusions aren't popular, but you need this to do one (usually)

 

9) Exodia--I hate these cards personally, but if you have them, good for you.  It is power.

 

8) Stop Defense--If this were permanent, like on the anime, it would be worthy of a secret rare, but, can still be game breaking at the right time.

 

7) Giant Soldier of Stone--3 stars, 2000 def. and 1300 atk.  A good monster for stall decks.

 

6) Trap Hole--at the time, it was a good card, still decent, though some prefer bottomless trap hole?

 

5) Dark Magician--2500 for 2 tributes, ok...but Magician's Force made him playable again, a personal favorite.

 

4) Blue Eyes White Dragon--3000 atk. 2 tributes, he is a power house.

 

3) Pot of Greed--Draw 2 cards when you want?  New cards are always important.

 

2) Monster Reborn--Any monster, from EITHER graveyard? Impressvie.

 

1) Raigeki--Only a rare?  How did that happen?  (If anyone knows why this wasn't ultra or even secret rare, say so please.) A staple in all decks.

 

Pharoh's Servant

 

10) Lightforce Sword--too bad you can't see the hand, but this can still stop your opponent (for 3 turns anyway)

 

9) Dust Tornado--with the added ability to play a spell card (not ANY I know...) is good

 

8) Gearfried, the Iron Knight--his ability is more often good then not, plus 1800-1600 isn't terrible for level 4

 

7) Thousand Eye Restrict--with a ritual and a fusion necessary to summon, it can be difficult, but very good if able

 

6) Light of Intervention--absolutely no flip effects...nice

 

5) Michizure--take your opponent's attacker with you when they destroy your Giant Soldier of Stone...ok

 

4) Goblin Attack Force--ok, so he switches to defense, 2300 for a level 4 is good

 

3) Buster Blader--2600 atk. is solid, and a great effect against a dragon deck--side deck it at least

 

2) Imperial Order--stops all magic cards for 700 lp per turn (yes don't get me started on the rant of the translation)

 

1) Jinzo--of course, who else?  AST made him more powerful with amplifier...

 

Magic Ruler

 

10) Megamorph--a good card for even a weak monster when losing...turns a 1500 to a 3000...

 

9) Black Pendant--500 attack plus almost a guarenteed 500 loss of lifepoints for the opponent

 

8) Rush Recklessly--can be used when attacked, also 700 attack

 

7) Axe of Despair--an excellent equip card, 1000 points--wow

 

6) Delinquent Duo--1000 lifepoints for your opponent to lose TWO cards from there hand, excellent

 

5) Maha Vailo--I believe he is underrated, nice effect, add an Axe he'll kill either Envoy, BEWD, etc.

 

4) Relinquished--a ritual summon with 0 atk. and def.?  Oh, yea, the killer effect, he's good folks.  Your opponent loses a monster and lifepoints when destroied...

 

3) Mystical Space Typhoon--keep it to counter, play right away, your choice...

 

2) Painful Choice--So many people hate this card. This can be great for Exodia decks for one (Necross anyway) but I like it too.

 

1) Cyber Jar--field and hand destruction with one card--beautiful.

 

Metal Raiders

 

10) Black Skull Dragon--3200 attack is powerful even if fusions aren't popular

 

9) Heavy Storm--obviously this is to be played when you have none, or unimportant m/t cards.  I just don't like how it destroies yours too.

 

8) Summon Skull--2500 atk., 1 tribute, great card.

 

7) Barrel Dragon--2600 atk. is solid, and you could destroy a monster without even attacking

 

6) Witch of the Black Forest--getting your Jinzo, Skull, etc...awesome

 

5) Change of Heart--take their Jinzo and tribute it for your own Jinzo!!! HA!

 

4) Solemn Judgement--people hate this because of the cost, this is for late duel, when lifepoints are low.  Also, it gets more power in limited...

 

3) Magic Jammer--one card to stop Raigeki?  small price

 

2) 7 Tools of the Bandit--1000 lp is a small price to negate a Mirror Force...

 

1) Mirror Force--destroy all atk. posistion monsters, field clearing to the extreme

 

Labyrinth of Nightmare

 

10) Miracle Dig--This card should be side-decked everywhere.  With so many "remove from play" effects, why not?

 

9) The Last Warrior From Another Planet--another fusion, sorry, but he has great potential, be sure you have the duel won first...

 

8) The Masked Beast--rituals also aren't popular but he's second best next to Shinato

 

7) Revival Jam--if this worked for real how it did on the Anime, this would be great, but still solid if you can keep  the lp (2 solemn wishes?)

 

6) United We Stand--if you can keep it protected, and even get 2 or 3 monsters, that's a 2400 boost, great card

 

5) Mask of the Acursed--500 you'll get for sure, keep the monster on the field, that's golden

 

4) Kycoo the Ghost Destorier--leave your opponent with NO graveyard

 

3) Gemini Elf--worthy of being secret rare...mmm...still a good card

 

2) Bazoo the Soul Eater--the tribless Skull due to a translation error severely overpowered this card

 

1) Magic Cylinder--watch out United We Stand, this card laughs at you

 

Legacy of Darkness

 

10) Yata-Garasu--yes, Yata lock, I know, even with the CED Envoy combo, but I hate him, NOT worth being secret rare.

 

9) Last Turn--If you combo this with Jowgen the Spiritualist, bam, you can win on your second turn

 

8) A Legendary Ocean--better then Umi, and you can still use Tornado Wall

 

7) Tyrant Dragon--2900 atk. great, decent effect, a good card for dragon decks

 

6) Dark Ruler Ha Des--Knocks out Jinzo, destroied by Skull, but a good effect and 2450 for 1 trib, a good fiend

 

5) Marauding Captain--restricted to two, why?  He has power, use him in a warrior deck!

 

4) Bottemless Trap Hole--this card made us say Trap Hole who?  Remove from play too, YES! (does this card counter Jinzo summon, please tell me!)

 

3) Spear Dragon--Built in Fairy Meteor Crush with a Goblin effect.  Good dragon level 4.

 

2) Drop Off--I drew my Envoy, good bye, what, Drop Off?

 

1) Fiber Jar--it does prolong the duel but can save you in a tight spot.

 

Pharonic Guardian

 

10) Dice Jar--this is a chance, it can really help or hurt you, user beware.

 

9) Lava Golem--A nice burn card, but protect yourself from his 3000 atk.  However, sacrificing two opponents monsters isn't bad either.  Secret Rare...

 

8) Newdoria--Suicide it to destroy anything, or play it face down defense.

 

7) Dark Jeroid--Lower Jinzo, Skull, Envoy, Blue Eyes, or anyone else by 800...destroy them with something else though.

 

6) Mystical Knight of Jackal--what a warrior card...decent attack at 2300 too.

 

5) Don Zaloog--what is not to like about this card...well, he could be a 1900...lol.

 

4) Rope of Life--a bit situational, but 800 extra attack is nice.

 

3) Raigeki Break--choose any monster (except Jinzo) but I still like it.

 

2) Ring of Destruction--excellent picture and effect, protect your lifepoints though, you don't want a draw, or a loss (I've seen both happen.)

 

1) Nightmare Wheel--essentially, Mask of the Accursed in trap form...still a great card.

 

Magician's Force

 

10) Poison of the Old Man--it heals and/or burns, take your pick.

 

9) Ultimate Obedient Fiend--3500 atk. is awesome, despite 3 tribs and it is very situational

 

8) Giant Orc--The slightly weaker Goblin...but, it is a Fiend.

 

7) Paladin of White Dragon--a ritual for only 1900 atk?  Oh, yea, NO flip effect plus a Blue Eyes...that's right.

 

6) Skilled White Magician--a 1700-1900 level 4, 3 spell counters for Blader, not bad

 

5) Skilled Dark Magician--a 1900-1700 level 4, a bit better...3 counters for your Dark Magician

 

4) Dark Magician Girl--obviously she needs some powerup, and 2000 atk. for a secret rare...gee

 

3) XYZ pieces & fusions--good alone, and quite formidable together...(XYZ...)

 

2) Luster (Emerald) Dragon--1900-1600 level 4, more accessible then Gemini...

 

1) Dark Paladin--clearly his summoning ability had to limit him, for he is pure power.

 

Dark Crisis

 

10) Staunch Defender--have all your opponents weaklings attack your Blue Eyes?  Lifepoints crash and field clearing, nice.

 

9) Different Dimension Dragon-a tribute?  But, he laughs at Raigeki and Dark Hole...

 

8) Exodia Necross-Contract with Exodia--(if anyone knows why this wasn't a ritual, please tell me) A bit better then Exodia, but more situational.

 

7) Kaiser Glider--Jinzo killer!  2400-2200 isn't bad for 1 trib. He is not crap!

 

6) Judgement of Anubius--secret rare and worth it, saves your f/d cards, and some direct damage, 1 less monster.

 

5) Shinato-King of a Higher Plane--the best ritual with a burn effect, what's to hate?

 

4) Archfiend Soldier--a solid 1900 monster at level 4

 

3) Vampire Lord--2000 atk. for 1 trib is terrible, but almost impossible to kill.  Power him up!

2) Cost Down--summon Jinzo or Skull on your first turn, 1 trib for Blue Eyes...

 

1) Reflect Bounder--sort of like Magic Cylinder in monster form, I love this guy.

 

Invasion of Chaos

 

10) Chaos Emperor Dragon-Envoy of the End--so you can combo this with Yata Lock, who cares...he sucks, stay FAR away.

 

9) Invader of Darkness--no quickplays?  That isn't bad, he's better then you may think.

 

8) Black Tyranno/Guardian Angel Joan--I couldn't decide between these two.  Black Tyranno forces your opponent to play monsters in atk. mode, while Joan is a serious lp gain.

 

7) Freed the Brave Warrior/Chaos Sorcerer

 

Almost identical effects, yet Sorcerer is 2300 instead of 1700, but he needs 1 light 1 dark removed to be summoned.

 

6) Levia Dragon-Daedalus--your opponent play Gemini Elf, you play Legendary Ocean, Cost Down, summon this 2600 atk. as a level 4, send Ocean to graveyard -2600 for your opponent.

 

5) Mad Dog of Darkness--a good 1900 level 4 rare attack.

 

4) Strike Ninja--good effect, decent attack at 1700.

 

3) Enraged Battle Ox--a bit better then the original, despite identical stats. A must for warrior decks with the Fairy Meteor Crush ability for all warriors.

 

2) Dark Magician of Chaos--limited to 1, obviously.  The spell card, great, keep a Miracle Dig in case he's destroied.

 

1) Black Luster Soldier-Envoy of the Beginning--the true envoy, two 3000 attacks in one turn.  Wonderful...easier to summon then the ritual form.

 

Ancient Sanctuary

 

10) Gear Golemn the Moving Fortress--800-2200, but pay 800 lp to attack directly, protect him and just do it 10 times, game.

 

9) Double Coston--a Kaiser Sea Horse effect for dark monsters (Dark Magician?).

 

8) Zalorg the Thunder Monarch--2400 1 trib, not bad. Destroy one card, ok...

 

7) Archlord Zerato--2800 atk, but very situational, he could clear the field though.

 

6) End of Anubius--a new Skull?  Well, no defense, but still 2500 atk.  No Monster Reborn.

 

5) Agent of Force-Mars--you shouldn't use this unless you have a commanding lead, or power him up.  He can be huge.

 

4) Agent of Judgement-Saturn--2400 atk. for 1 trib, direct damage for destroying one card?  Why not.

 

3) Agent of Creation-Venus--level 3, 1600 attack, a must for tribute decks if you run a light deck...try him and see

 

2) Amplifier--makes your Jinzo a lot better for you, and hated by your oppponent, your traps work now

 

1) The Sanctuary in the Sky--a card for light decks, and needed to summon half the monsters in the set--GET IT!

 

Promos

 

10) The Legendary Winged Dragon of Ra--even though he isn't legal, he's good, and people like him.

 

9) Fairy King Trusedale/Mechanical Chaser--

 

Trusedale is better for now at 2700 for 1 trib, but once he's fixed, he's only 2200, Mechanical Chaser is a must for Machine decks as an 1850 level 4.

 

8) Machine King--2300 for 1 trib, not bad, and if you have a machine deck, where he should be, he can be a powerhouse. 

 

7) Exchange--do it early when your opponent has a big hand and you have nothing good for them to take

 

6) Negate Attack--save yourself for a turn, nice enough

 

5) Metalmorph--continuous, yes, prey for MST and others, yes, but is a good card, combo with Fairy Meteor Crush...he he he.

 

4) The Magnet Warriors--good alone, and Valkyrion as a special summon at 3500-3850, what's not to like, good for an earth/warrior deck.

 

3) Sinister Serpent--an extra card every turn just by destroying him--make sure you are winning and going to, or you'll have no cards left to draw.

 

2) Harpies Feather Duster--a step above MST as it doesn't destroy yours.

 

1) Slate Warrior--1900 level 4, wind? Great effect, boost yourself, or weaken the opponent.  Rising Air Current with the 500 flip boost is a level 4 2900 attacker.
