Time Mages Top Ten Anime Cards

OK, thought I'd send in a list of what I have ranked the best (This is NOT to be taken as gosple) amongst all those cool cards from the Anime that aren't yet real (It's July 23, 2004 for future generations to reference to). Also, this will be with the Japanese names, just so you know. Also, this is the ruling from the Anime, so if the effect is later changed when they are reprinted, keep that in mind. Now, lets get this going:

10) Super Electric Turtle: This little critter can negate an attack (ONE attack) once he's in the Grave, but it can happen at any time you want. Dump this guy and stop your opponent just when they thought they could finish you off. How I love that. And then, after stopping the attack, he makes fabulous Chaos food. Other than that, however, he's got about nothing.

9) Command Silencer: Stop an attack and draw a card. This is only here because it's Waboku and Jar of Greed all rolled into one Quick-Play card. Only problem is that it’s none-chainable, so Waboku is still one up on it, but that doesn’t take away from this things potential. Nothing else to say really, aside from the fact that Exodia Decks would abuse this thing. Heck, we'd all abuse it!

8) Mechanical Magic Mirror: Here’s one of my favorites. A trap which will activate one Magic card in the opponents Graveyard whenever they attack. That truly is sweet. Activate their Monster Reborn to bring back a new monster to protect your Life Points when your field is cleared out, or their Raigeki to wipe them out. Only two problems with this card: They need to have the Magic card in the Graveyard to use this, and they have to attack to trigger it, meaning it can’t be used whenever. Other than that, it’s fun stuff.

7) Dark Magic Revival: Another favorite of mine, here’s the Magic Mirror’s alter ego. This Quick-Play magic card will activate one Magic card in your Graveyard when the enemy attacks. This holds the same potential that the previously mentioned Mirror, but because it’s a Quick-Play, it’s a bit less predictable, and also you could just dump some Magic cards, which your opponent could forget about. Sadly, the final effect is not so good. This card, unlike the Mirror, has the side effect of landing that Magic card in the opponents Graveyard after it’s use, so if they use Magician of Faith or something akin to it, then they get your Magic card. The only way I can think around this is to use this card, then activate Mechanical Magic Mirror, which would then return your Magic card to your Graveyard (I got this combo from a friend of mine). Also, the same activate requirements from Mechanical Magic Mirror are present here, which is why this isn’t higher up on the list.

6) Grave Sacrifice: Nifty little Magic card we have here. Remove a monster from each players Grave to summon a monster. This way you don’t need the monsters on the field. You can just use the good old dumping method, then removing your creature and one of theirs for a quick summon. If you want, you can throw in a revival to get a second monster. It’s all fun. Plus, you remove their Chaos food, and preventing their revival of a strong monster. Overall, a good card for rushing and crippling all at once.

5) Treasure of the Guardian Goddess: Here is an interesting card. Discard five cards to then draw two, but from then on, your draw each turn is upped to two or more each turn. I think that that’s nifty, and yeah, it is, but you need five card in your hand, and then you’ve gotta ditch them. That’s hard and costly. However, for such awesome compensation, I think it’s worth it.

4)Revenge Sacrifice: Personally, I don’t care much for this card, but I do see potential, which is why it’s here. Taking out an opponents monster to summon one of yours is nice. However, sadly, it has it’s flaws with timing. You need to have one of your monsters wasted first, so it’s really a one for one trade, except you can do it on their turn and then do another summon on your turn. All sorts of fun stuff this card is.

3) Brave Attack: This is an awesome card here. Combine the attack strength of all your monsters on the field, but those monsters are sacrificed to do it. Don’t use this for a direct attack, as that would be a waste. However, when you’ve got a bunch of small monsters on the field (Such as through Marauding Captain and other such cards), and the other guy has something big, use this to wipe that monster out and do some good damage.

2) Hell-Heaven: Okay, we’re down to the last two, and it was hard to choose between these two. This is a continuous Magic card that is ridiculously broken. Wipe out everything on the field, and then during each players standby phase, you get to revive one monster to your field. Broken yes, but incredibly powerful. I mean, I don’t think I need to say anything more, it’s that good.

1) Alter of Resurrection: Here’s a killer card. Draw two cards, and then activate a card in your Graveyard. Of course, we can assume from the wording of this card that the third card, the one you activate from the Grave, must be a Magic or Trap, but that’s still good. Draw two cards, activate that Raigeki of yours in your Grave, and then pound the enemy into the ground. Just too sweet if you ask me. Sure it’s broken, but it’s still really good.

OK, that’s it. For those who don’t have a clue what these cards are (I’m too lazy and tired to type up their effects), check these sites:
