From: WALTERSMER@cs.com Alex's Yugioh Top 10 Tribute Monsters Ok, hello to everybody! Today, I'm contributing a list of the top 10 Tribute monsters. I had originally intended to separate between 1 and 2 tribute monsters, but decided against it. Here we go, I hope you enjoy: 10) Dark Magician--Now, I run a Spellcaster deck, and he is great. Even though Dark Magician of Chaos and Dark Paladin are better, he's still a personal favorite of mine. 2500 attack for two tributes isn't great, granted, but he works well in a Spellcaster deck, and Magician's Force made him somewhat playable again. 9) Blue Eyes White Dragon--3000 attack for two tributes, that's more like it. He works well in almost any deck (especially a Light or a Dragon deck) if only because of his absolute power. 3000 attack is nothing to laugh at, this card is still power. 8) Summon Skull--2500 attack for one tribute, and he's Witchable, that's good, right? He seems to be losing popularity due to End of Anubius, but as Skull is easily found in SDY and SYE, I recommend him over Anubius, which is a Secret Rare. 7) Dark Driceratops--A Witchable 2400 attack one tribute monster Rare from IOC. Now, most people think why waste Witch on anything BUT Jinzo? Good question, well, this guy has a built in Fairy Meteor Crush effect. So, if you're looking for another one tribute monster (say for an EARTH deck) then give this guy a try. 6) Airknight Parshath--Don't get me wrong, this guy is a great card. He'll need a power up for his built in Fairy Meteor Crush effect, probably for the draw effect also, but I put this guy on the lower end of the list simply because he requires a tribute. 5) Tyrant Dragon--A very strong, solid Dragon card. 2900 attack, falling just short of BEWD, but a wonderful card none the less. He negates traps that specifically negate him as a target, plus, his revival ability is a bit of a downside, but no problem in a Dragon deck. Also, he's a FIRE attribute, for those who were wondering... 4) Invader of Darkness--A 2900 Secret Rare, 2 tribute Fiend from IOC. I currently run a Spellcaster deck, and this guy still works wonders as far as my deck is concerned. Not allowing your opponent to play ANY quickplay spells. That's means good-bye Mystical Space Typhoon, Scapegoat, Book of Moon, and all those other annoying critters... 3) Vampire Lord--Ah, yes, the Secret Rare drooled over monster from DCR. At only 2000 attack, he needs to be powered up, but his hand/deck disruption ability makes him priceless. Let alone the fact it's next to impossible for this guy to be destroied. Once he hits the field, you might as well build him a hotel. 2) Jinzo--Who else did you expect to see here? The trap negating, PSV Secret Rare himself. It's nice to see a card from an older set still have such great playability. I hate seeing cards just fall out, because they were good once and just don't fit now. 1) Dark Magician of Chaos--I'm sorry for those of you who think Jinzo is better, but this guy is the bomb. 2800 attack for 2 tributes is very solid. Also, he retrieves a spell card, plus any monster he destroies is removed from play. Run him in a Dark or Spellcaster deck. Well, that's my list of the best tribute monsters.
