10. skilled white magician

 With 3 spell counters it can special a buster blader from your hand, deck or graveyard, it also has a solid 1700 atk and 1900 def.

9. dark magician girl

 This card is a must in a dark magician deck, it gets a boost for each dark magician in your and your oppenent's graveyard plus it could get a dark magician out with the new sage's stone spell card. Other than that 2000 atk for one tribute just isn't worth it.

8. skilled dark magician

 With 3 spell counters it can special summon a dark magician from your hand, deck or graveyard, and with it's 1900 atk and 1700 def it is a solid monster.

7. dark magician

 Yugi's favorite monster, the dark magician is not great on it's on, but it has plenty of support ( skilled dark magician, sage's stone, etc. ) a MUST in any magician deck.

6. kycoo the ghost destroyer

 Kycoo can be very deadly with a solid 1800 atk and the ability to remove 2 monsters from your oppent's graveyard and protect the cards in your graveyard from getting removed from play. kycoo is best in magician, exodia, or chaos decks.

5. magician of faith

 With a flip effect that let's you retrieve a spell card from your graveyard, magician of faith is a very good card, it lets you reuse the restricted cards like raigeki and pot of greed.

4. dark paladin ( buster blader / dark magician fusion )

 This card is extremely powerful, the 500 atk boost for each dragon monster in both players' fields and graveyards, and the extra magic jammer ability, dark paladin is a must in a magician deck. ( would have been higher but you can't revive it )

3. magical scientist

 By paying 1000 life for a level 6 or less fusion creature for one turn that can't atk lifepoints directly, this is an extremely good card. You can special summon many fusions and launch them all with catapult turtle for a cheap win, special summon 4 fusions then give the scientist a united we stand, absorb an oppenent's creature with thousand eyes restrict than kill it, sacrifice one of the fusions then revive it, or just control the field. ( I know it's long but I love this card )

2. dark magician of chaos

 2800 atk for 2 tributes isn't bad but with it's two effects( when it kills a creature it's removed from play and getting a spell card from the graveyard ) you have the second best spellcaster in the game. There is a nasty combo with this ( 3 dmoc + painful choice + monster reborn = game over )

1. witch of the black forest

 When put from the field to the graveyard you get 1500 def or less creature from your deck. You can get exodia limbs, jinzo, cyber jar, yata garasu, magical scientist, and plenty more. This is not only the best spellcaster, this is the best monster in the game,

not the envoys ( CED & BLS ), not yata garasu, witch of the black forest.
