Ben's top ten cards to base a deck around (excluding monsters)

Yo, this is my top ten list of cards to build a deck around (don't send mail saying the list is wrong because some cards haven't been released yet, but we gotta have a bit of variety):

10) Blasting the ruins: Basically you just want to put stuff in your graveyard: painful choice, magical hats, gather your mind, nimbles among other stuff work well (try to keep away from discarding from your hand as it is not the best idea).  Feind comedian works well, and then you could deal plenty of damage through these babies.

9) wave-motion cannon: needs tonnes of protection, but if it can survive protection for eight turns then you have won.  get two out their, they only have to survive four turns.  But as I said, tonnes of protection needed.

8) Butterfly dagger elma:  The ever predictable combo- equip to gearfreid while royal magical library is out or anything that needs spell counters and you practically have a win in your hands right there.  Just beautiful.

7) Bad reaction to simochi: we all know the combos with this- rain of mercy, upstart goblin and the ever poular snatch steal.  many more, all relying on your opponent gaining life points.

6)  Last turn: These decks are actually pretty darn good.  Getting your life points on the verge of dead is incredibly difficult, but the new common 'wall of revealing light' gives you much more control over that.  Many combos: jowgen, put the injection out when you activate the wall, put out spirit reaper if you want a draw (or newdoria, DD warrior lady etc.)  If you can get these small combos together, instant win.

5) Life absorbing machine:  Basically if you get two of these out and you can play cards that have high costs and not lose a single life point.  Solemn judgement, Jirai Gumo and also cyber stein are good for these (use cyber-stein in the way you use magical scientist in the catapult turtle combo.  Magical scientist is a top pick because cyber-stein is not out, and if you have one or no life absorbing machines you can still pull off the combos).  No cost for the lilly injection fairy either.

4) Gravity-bind: the ever so annoying weenie three star direct attackers.  Gravity bind decks are somehow popular, and can be effective when G-bind is out, but Jinzo poses a huge problem, because those 300-500 attackers lose their protection and have a 2400 attacker glaring down at them.....

3) Destiny board: the forgotten exodia-type that is in magic trap form.  You are GUARANTEED victory after five turns, and excellent if you have plenty of stuff to protect it (pack in some emergency provisions to clear away you m/t zones incase you draw it when you have plenty of m/t down).

2) Barrel behind the door: Again, mainly used with high cost stuff only you are dealing it to your opponent.  Solemn judgement, Jirai gumo etc. and a little beauty is that card immortal of thunder, where you would gain 3000 life points and they would lose 5000 (when sent to the graveyard).  An 8000 life point gap is nothing to laugh at.  Wall of revealing light is the best card with this (pay how many life points they got and shoot it back at them).

1) Reversal of the worlds: we saw this when Ishizu used it against Kaiba- just switch your deck with your graveyard (must have 15 cards in your graveyard though).  You just want stuff to go to your graveyard (see blasting in the ruins) and you could have a brand new 15 card deck while theirs only has 4-5 cards or less.  The tactic is speed.  Win in a couple of turns.
