So here are some ways to add and subtract life points. 10 - Ameba/Griggle + Swords of Revealing Light + Penguin Soldier - Not the easiest combo to pull off, but when you do, this one can really hurt. The +3000/-2000 becomes +6000/-4000 with Swords. But what happens when your +3 turns are over? Here are some ideas: If there is only one type of monster being played by your opponent play Array of Revealing Light, and Penguin. A Waboku/Magic Cylinder can delay for a turn; hopefully by the time you get to this, your opponent won't have life points left. If you are really desperate, Gravity Bind/Messenger of Peace is always good with Ameba/Griggle. 9 - (Enemy) Scapegoat+ Scapegoat + Token Thanksgiving - Very situational, but you might run into another Scapegoat player. If you do, you got yourself 6400 more life points. Throw in a Cobra Jar and you will gain 7200 and your enemy will lose 500. 8 - Bad Reaction to Simochi + The Eye of Truth - Our first of two appearances of Simochi. In this case, as long as there is one spell card in the opponents' hand, he'll lose 1000. Granted your opponent may try to dump all his magic cards onto the field, but he'd become fodder for Harpie's Feather Duster, MST, Heavy Storm, or you could just Giant Trunade/ Tornado Bird them. 7 - Scapegoat + Gift of the Mystical Elf - A quick protective shield and addition to life points. Sure it's not the best of gains (+1200) but that's without the enemy's monsters. 6 - Dancing Fairy + Heart of Clear Water - Now this is an easy way to gain 1000 a turn. Other ways include attaching Raregold Armor to a monster with either High ATK or High DEF or just using Patrician of Darkness to deflect attacks to another monster. 5 - Inaba White Rabbit + Spring of Rebirth - I personally am Anti-Yata, but that doesn't mean I'm anti-spirit monsters. This combo is a safe way to inflict 700 and still gain 500 life points. I used to play a full defense deck and I added the White Rabbit so that I could attack. Another good spirit to try is Maharaghi if you are playing a defense deck since you could pull your monsters to the bottom if you don't need it. 4 - Soul Release/Dimension Jar + Soul Absorption - I picked Soul Release and Dimension Jar because it was an upfront gain (2500/3000). The other choices would be Banisher of the Light, DDWL, etc. 3 - Bad Reaction to Simochi + Upstart Goblin + Upstart Goblin + Upstart Goblin - A more controllable situation arises with Upstart Goblin vs. The Eye of truth. It's a guaranteed loss of 3000 and 3 cards in your hand. I did get lucky once and I managed to draw the other 2 upstart goblins in succession. 2 - Graceful Charity + Marie the Fallen one + Marie the Fallen One - What better way than by discarding to gain life points? This combo (and Marie the fallen one) has saved me from being Yata locked. (There was one dumb opponent I played against that didn't realize that his yata lock was doing nothing since there was a Marie the Fallen One in my graveyard. He ran out of cards). 1 - Card Destruction/Cyber Jar + Solemn Wishes - The obvious choice. It's a quick 2500 gain in either case, with disruption as the main goal. It's simple and so that's what makes it number one. Bonus - Any form Life gain + Self Destruct Button - I was bored once and with the combo of Inaba White Rabbit/Spring of Rebirth and 2 Marie the fallen one's in the graveyard. Though I was in the lead, I ran out of time and had to leave, so I hit the self destruct button, so it was a draw. Yep, I'm spontaneous like that. I go under the name "Steven Eastoria" and I like playing "out there" decks.
