Subject: Robbie's Yu-gi-oh! Top Ten List- Top Ten Cards To Build A Deck Around
Hi! My name is Rob and this in my opinion is the best ten cards you can build a deck around. Remember, it's Top Ten Cards to Build a Deck Around, not Top Ten Deck Types, so cards built around many cards aren't included, such as Beatdown. I hope you enjoy this.

10.) Mad Sword Beast- Sound weird? I’ll bet it does. Obviously it’s not a very popular deck type (have you ever seen anyone use a trample deck?) but it was very successful for me and obviously it was original. If you use other trample monsters, Fairy Meteor Crush, Block Attack (why does it matter what position the monster is in if you’re going to do damage anyway?), and some Equip cards and you might have yourself an original and successful deck.

9.)  Toon World- A deck that was popular with newbies, experienced players eventually learn that life points paid outweigh the life point damage. But it can be a fun deck to play, casually of course… Labyrinth of Nightmare helped these decks with the monsters that give you life points depending on which position they’re in. You never know, if you draw right it may end up successful.

8.) Mask of Restrict- Not a bad deck to make, just not many people run decks that have a lot of tribute monsters. So occasionally, you help your opponent out just as much as you help yourself. Even if it's very pesky to your opponent, just about everybody runs three Mystical Space Typhoons, therefore they’ll destroy it. It’s a decent side deck card, but I wouldn’t recommend building  a deck around it.

7.)  Harpie Lady- Another deck that’s only popular because of the T.V. show. If you do make a Harpie Lady deck, you need a lot of speed. You need to get out a Harpie Lady, and some Harpie’s Sisters along with Rising Air Current on turn one, just to have a chance. Once Cyber Harpie and Cyber Shield come out, Harpie’s may become popular, but once again, it’s pretty much only good for casual play.

6.) Bad Reaction to Simochi- This deck could work, if you can get it on the field, then you have to start getting out some combos. Snatch Steal and Upstart Goblin work with this card well as you can get some advantages and do 1000 life point damage at the same time. As new sets come out, with the right cards, this may eventually become potential.

5.)  Fire Princess- I liked the sound of this deck, as you gain life points, your opponent loses life points. This could probably go well with Bad Reaction to Simochi and you’d have yourself a potential burner. You’d probably want a Messenger of Peace in your deck, to give Fire Princess some protection. Then you’d want Solemn Wishes, Cure Mermaid, and all of the other cards from Labyrinth of Nightmare where you gain life points depending on which position they’re in, to do a little more damage.

4.)  Dark Necrofear/Dark Ruler Ha Des- Ah yes, the king and queen of the He… well you know what I mean. You’d need them both for a successful Dark/Fiend deck, but when they’re together they can really do their stuff. Combine this with Mystic Plasma Zone, and all of the other fiends and you’ve got yourself a deck.

3.)  The Legendary Fisherman- Did this deck get popular in a hurry or what? First we get The Legendary Fisherman and people would experiment, and then in the next set out comes A Legendary Ocean. This deck is all about combos, but if you can pull it off, then your opponent has a lot to deal with. You’d want A Legendary Ocean, The Legendary Fisherman, and Tornado Wall and you’re all set. If you can get a Magic Reflector on A Legendary Ocean, and a Fake Trap on the field (believe it or not it works well in this deck) and your opponent will have a lot to destroy.

2.)  Exodia- Ah yes, it was and still is probably the most popular five cards in the game. A difficult deck to make, you must focus your deck completely on getting out Exodia. Painful Choice, Witch of the Black Forest, Sangan, Fiber Jar, Kycoo the Ghost Destroyer, and Miracle Dig are just a few cards to put in your deck. Many decks use Delinquent Duo and Confiscation so you better watch out for decks that run those.

1.) Gravity Bind- My favorite deck that I’m currently using. Also known as Clown Control, the Dream Clowns do work well this card. I use monsters that attack life points directly, and then power them up with a few equip cards. It’s very fun to play and I suggest you use it, if you’re not that fond of Beatdown.
