Hello Pojo Fans,

World Legacy Guardragon, while sounding like a monster, is a Continuous Spell that benefits Dragon-Types in general, as well as furthers their strategy.

Despite inheriting the downsides of a Continuous Spell, WLG will pay you back straight-away, getting you a Level 4 or lower Dragon from your grave, or Special Summoning it. A revival card that for a monster that will start your plays is good, then you add the ability to move a Dragon-Type to a different zone, and that completes the strategy the guardragons like to play. You can reborn your Level 4 or lower dragon, turn it into an Elpy or Pisty, then move it using this and open it up to using its effect. This can be very helpful if you are short on Link Monsters that don’t align their arrows for your Pisty or Elpy to activate (diagonal arrows). Also, the movement does not restrict you from moving an Extra Monster Zone monster (as long as it’s a Dragon-Type) from the Extra Monster Zone to a Main Monster Zone. You likely won’t need to ever do this, but its handy that this card doesn’t restrict you from doing that.

World Legacy Guardragon starts Guardragon week by being a great Continuous Spell Card. For no cost you get to Special Summon or add to hand one targeted Level 4 or lower Dragon monster. You can only activate one World Legacy Guardragon per turn keeping the Special Summoning effect balanced. The continuous effect is that once per turn per World Legacy Guardragon lets you change the zone of any one of your targeted Dragons. It’s worth running a few of these in Guardragons to make sure the Guardragon Link Monsters activate properly. It is searchable and partially fills the hole that Return of the Dragon Lords created. World Legacy Guardragon looks cool too. Happy Memorial Monday!

Guardragon week on Pojo as these cards are very interesting for Dragons, and here we’ll start with World Legacy Guardragon.

World Legacy Guardragon is a Continuous Spell that upon activation lets you target a Level 4 or lower Dragon in your graveyard and either add it to your hand or Special Summon it. One way or another, this is setting up more plays for the current turn or a later turn. White Dragon Wyverburster and Black Dragon Collapserpent have become popular recently, and you can’t revive those no matter if you summoned those properly, but beyond that there are a ton of good Dragons to be a target for this like Dragunity Phalanix, The White Stone of Legend, The White Stone of Ancients, Flamvell Guard, Guardragon Justicia, Galaxy Serpent, what I’m trying to basically say is that you shouldn’t be low on Level 4 or lower Dragons anywhere and this can help set up Link plays into certain Link Monsters you’ll see this week. This card also has another effect where once per turn, you can target a Dragon you control and move that monster to another one of your unoccupied Main Monster Zones. This can be useful to get monsters out of the way for more Extra Deck plays with Links, or set up your Link Monsters in the right spots to make plays *hint hint* so having the ability to move your monsters on a card that does something beyond just moving monsters is great, cause Senet Switch isn’t doing it for anybody. I should also mention that this card is searchable due to having World Legacy in the name with Ib the World Chalice Justicar being able to search for it now along with some other options. You can only activate one of this per turn, and that’s fine cause it might be too good otherwise since it can be searched. This is useful in many different Dragon decks to where two or three copies would be recommended.

It’s Dragon week, specifically of the Guardragon theme.  Kicking things off on this Memorial Day is the Continuous Magic Card, World Legacy Guardragon.  This is a very simple, yet effective card, with a couple different and useful abilities.  First, when activated, you can Target (note Target) a Level 4 or below Dragon Monster in your Graveyard.  Said Monster is added to your Hand, or Special Summoned to your Field.

This is a free resource, sometimes it can be just as useful to bring a resource back to your Hand, but, of course, a free Special Summon is never a bad thing either.  Next, we see that once per turn, you have the option of moving one of your Dragons to a different Main Monster Zone.  That opens up some Link plays, both in abilities and effects, or even just in Link Summoning, which is welcome also.

As should surprise no one, you can only activate one of these per turn.  That’s appropriate, because it keeps you from flooding the Field, as well as getting to much advantage via Links, so I’m for this.  You can use both effects in the same turn, however, so that probably adds to the only one of these cards played per turn.  Powerful, yet not broken card, you should play in multiples.

Art:  5/5  This is very pretty artwork.  The sleeping dragon, the bright colors, and the subtle detail in the sky and mountains beyond.
