Hello Pojo Fans,

Warning Point is a better version of Dimensional Barrier.

This card could pass as Dimensional Barrier Plus, it does what the card does and more. Instead of only locking out one kind of Extra Deck summon, it locks all of them out. On top of that, it stops all offense for the turn by negating monster effect(s) and preventing attacks. Trigger this when your opponent summons their first monster and you lock them down for the turn. They can summon as much as they want, but they won’t be getting effect(s), Extra Deck summons, or attacking. The attacking lock down is big thing to me. There’s a million cards to negate effects (Impermanence and Skill Drain being the best at flexibility and blanket negation), but that won’t stop opponents from pressing on to do damage. This card being a Normal Trap, not needing to be face-up for the turn to achieve what it does, also makes it great.

This card would be good if it only stopped one monster or two summoned at once, but it stops all monsters the turn you activate it, and that is fantastic.

Next up this week is a new Trap Card, and it’s a Normal Trap for Trap Trick, as we look at Warning Point.

Warning Point is a Normal Trap that when the opponent summons a monster or monsters, you can activate this to negate those monster’s effects while making sure they can’t attack or be used for a Fusion, Synchro, Xyz, or Link Summon. This is mostly better when you’re hitting multiple monsters, but it’s nice to hit a key monster that the opponent needed to use for a material for a summon. I’d personally rather Solemn the summoned monster, but this does clog the opponent’s board at least, which can be nice. This being a Normal Trap does also let you use Trap Trick to tutor this from Deck and use it same turn, so there’s a benefit the Solemns don’t have. It’s a fine card, but not something I’d call staple. It’s more of a tech, and it’s a fine card at that.

Warning Point is a simple yet highly effective Normal Trap.  When your opponent Summons a Monster (or Monsters) it (they) can’t attack.  Nor can any effect(s) be activated.  Plus said Monster(s) can’t be used for Extra Deck plays of any kind during this Turn.  So the Monster(s) in question just sit there for a Turn while you hopefully rid the Field of it (them).  A versatile card that can hit multiple Monsters and does a variety of great neutralizing things; I love it.  It is a -1 but one that is well worth it.  Maybe a card for the Tech category but on the higher end.

Rating:  4/5

Art:  4/5 I like this but I don’t know if I’m seeing a retreat or an attack charge here.
