Hot on the heels of the 2008 World of Warcraft Trading Card Game (TCG) World Championship Tournament held this past weekend in Paris, France, Upper Deck announced the complete 2009 “Road to Worlds” organized play program for the ever-growing TCG.  The 2009 Organized Play schedule includes all the details players will need on their journey to the 2009 World Championship.  More information about event dates and locations is available at WoWTCG.com

The 2009 “Road to Worlds” encompasses all World of Warcraft TCG Organized Play programs that help players qualify for the upcoming World Championship Tournament, to be held in Austin, Texas, on October 8 – 11, 2009.  The 2009 “Road to Worlds” includes events for players of all levels and provides details on the different paths players can take to qualify for the World Championship Tournament.

To qualify for the 2009 World of Warcraft TCG World Championship Tournament, players compete in numerous contests held around the globe, including regional tournaments, Darkmoon Faire Championships and continental championships. Winners of these contests represent their respective countries at the World Championship Tournament event. Players can also qualify for national and continental championship tournaments with “honor ranking points” or “rating points” earned by playing in UD-sanctioned events.
