UPPER DECK ENTERTAINMENT ADDS THREE NEW

LOOT CARDS TO WORLD OF WARCRAFT® TRADING CARD GAME SERIES

WITH UPCOMING MARCH OF THE LEGIONEXPANSION SET

UDE Also Increases Players’ Opportunity to Find Loot Cards

by Randomly Inserting More per Set

CARLSBAD, Ca. (November 5, 2007) – World of Warcraft® Trading Card Game (TCG) and massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) players can now add more goodies to their holiday wish lists this year with Upper Deck Entertainment’s (UDE) new set of World of Warcraft TCG Loot cards.  Available with the release of the upcoming TCG expansion set, March of the Legion, the three new Loot cards will allow players to collect an exciting new paper airplane, an exploding pet chicken and a 3-D kite to utilize with their online characters in Blizzard Entertainment®’s World of Warcraft.  March of the Legion and the three new Loot cards will be available in participating hobby and retail stores in late November.

UDE will also insert more Loot cards in the new set to give players an increased opportunity to collect any or all of the three new online in-game items.

Loot card descriptions:

  • The “Paper Airplane” card allows lucky Loot card holders to create their own paper airplane to utilize anywhere and anytime throughout their online session.  Players will have a 50% chance of receiving a “Zeppelin” design, and a 50% chance of getting a “flying machine” design.

  • The “Robotic Homing Chicken” card gives World of Warcraft MMORPG players their very own robotic pet chicken.  Unlike most pets in the online game, each robotic chicken will come equipped with two massive rockets that will randomly shoot the robotic pet chicken in the air.  The chicken will either explode in mid-air or will fall harmlessly back to the ground.

  • The rarest card of the three Loot cards, the “Kiting” card will give Loot card owners a fun 3-D kite featuring one of the online game’s most iconic foes, Onyxia.  Usable anytime throughout the online session, players can roam the grounds in the game with their flying kite in tow; at random intervals, the kite will be struck by lightning.

Loot cards give players who receive them access to unique World of Warcraft in-game items.  The new Loot cards will feature foil versions of the regular cards with a modified card template, which adds a great look to any player’s deck.  All Loot cards can only be found through the World of Warcraft TCG.

In addition to featuring three brand-new Loot cards, March of the Legion also serves as a solid expansion set and the perfect way for players to begin collecting strong cards for deck building.  The set will feature Aldor and Scryer sub-factions, new keywords, and demonic allies.

Based on Blizzard Entertainment®’s hit MMORPG, the TCG allows players to experience the action and adventure of World of Warcraft in a new format.  Released last year, the TCG’s premiere set quickly became the hottest and most-sought-after trading card game in the industry, prompting UDE to reproduce additional quantities to support the overwhelming demand.

World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG in the world, with more than 9 million subscribers playing the game in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In World of Warcraft, players assume the roles of legendary heroes and interact with thousands of other players online as they explore, adventure and quest across a vast realm. Whether journeying together or fighting against one another in epic battles, players form friendships, forge alliances and compete against enemies for power and glory.
