WORLD OF WARCRAFT® TRADING CARD GAME EVENT

TO PHILADELPHIA IN OCTOBER

‘Darkmoon Faire’ Event Features Exciting Tournaments for Players of All Levels and Serves as Last Chance Event for Players to Qualify for Upcoming World Championship Tournament in San Diego

CARLSBAD, CA (October 2, 2007) – Taking the industry’s biggest trading card game (TCG) to cities far and wide, Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) will bring one of the biggest gaming tours to Philadelphia this month with the World of Warcraft® TCG Darkmoon Faire tour.  Currently making stops all around the world, the World of Warcraft TCG celebration will be at the Pennsylvania Convention Center (PACC) from Friday, October 26 through Sunday, October 28.  The tour is open to the public; no admission fees.

The highly popular Darkmoon Faire will feature over 20 different tournaments and activities for World of Warcraft TCG fans throughout the weekend.  Ranging from beginner, intermediate and advanced-level tournaments, to sealed, drafted and constructed tournaments, Darkmoon Faire will feature every type of format TCG players can imagine.  Players can also log on to Blizzard Entertainment®’s World of Warcraft online and take part in free play, group treasure hunts, speed raids, and 2v2 Arenas with a slew of tricked-out level 70 characters on a Darkmoon Faire-exclusive realm.

Philadelphia’s Darkmoon Faire will also serve as a last chance stop for players who have a large amount of honor ranking points and are close to earning an invite to the upcoming World Championship Tournament in San Diego (Friday, November 30 through Sunday, December 2).  Players who are invited to play in the World Championship Tournament will battle against top World of Warcraft TCG players from around the world for the grand prize of $100,000.

Players can also look forward to the highly popular Dream Machine Championship Tournament for anyone who dares to battle it out for top honors on the tour.  The grand-prize winner will receive an invite to the 2008 National Championship Tournament and a cutting-edge, top-of-the-line Alienware Dual Processor Dream Machine PC.  Runners-up will receive an 80 GB iPod Video; and 3rd and 4th place winners will receive an 8 GB iPod Nano each.  All top eight finishers will receive an invitation to the 2008 U.S. National Championship Tournament.

All event participants will receive exclusive Extended Art cards and top finishers will be awarded exciting prizes.  Demos and additional World of Warcraft TCG activities will also take place throughout the weekend, complete with fun and exclusive giveaways for all.

Based on Blizzard Entertainment’s hit massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), the TCG allows players to experience the action and adventure of World of Warcraft in a new format. Released last October, the TCG’s premiere set quickly became the hottest and most sought-after trading card game in the industry, prompting UDE to reproduce additional quantities to support the overwhelming demand.

World of Warcraft is the most popular MMORPG in the world, with more than 9 million subscribers playing the game in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Europe, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. In World of Warcraft, players assume the roles of legendary heroes and interact with thousands of other players online as they explore, adventure, and quest across a vast realm. Whether journeying together or fighting against one another in epic battles, players form friendships, forge alliances, and compete against enemies for power and glory.
