Exclusive Alternate Artwork Cards Are Currently Available In Stores Across the U.S.

CARLSBAD - November 17, 2004 - Upper Deck Entertainment (UDE) and Toy Biz Worldwide, Ltd. - a worldwide sales agent and master toy licensee for Marvel Enterprises - are partnering up to include special artwork cards in Toy Biz's Marvel Legends action figure line. A limited quantity of the special artwork cards are only available with the purchase of a Marvel Legends action figure, which are currently on store shelves across the U.S.

Derived from the hottest trading card game of the year, the special artwork cards feature favorite superheroes from UDE's Marvel Trading Card Game series, and can be used in the trading card game. These characters include Black Widowä, Man-Thingä, Captain Americaä, Icemanä, Iron Manä, Stormä and Doctor Octopus. Featuring the artwork of renowned comic artist Michael Lopez, the promotional cards will coincide with the Marvel Legends action figure it is packaged with.

The Marvel Legends action figure line showcases Marvel's greatest super heroes and villains. These expertly sculpted, highly poseable 6" scale action figures now have more articulation than ever, allowing the figures to assume many of their most famous poses. Each figure includes a classic 32-page Marvel comic book or poster book. Marvel's greatest super heroes and villains are showcased in these action figures. Each super-poseable character comes with a base that can be mounted on a wall for display and a full sized comic book.

The Marvel TCG allows players to create their ultimate superhero team combinations from the Marvel universe, as they battle against each other. In addition, the Marvel TCG was designed specifically to support multiplayer play, complimenting the traditional one-on-one competition format. The game was carefully balanced to support sealed-pack and booster draft formats. Development of the game included testing by top professional TCG players around the world to ensure the game is carefully balanced for high-level competition, as well as casual play.
