This card can be some good.  In constructed, Syndicate can use to as needed to boost up power as need be.  I think this is a card that most Syndicate cards can greatly use.

In limited....well, at the Pre-Release I drafted 3 of these and 3 Vultures.  Needless to say, I won the draft quite easily.  This thing is such a stick in limited - I'd take it over most Syndicate Rares.  I did not pass a single one - it's that good.

Doc Ock’s Lab

This card brings a new kind of thinking to the scene. The pay X endurance to get X advantage in return has become a theme that is seen with certain SS cards. I would love to endorse this line of thinking….if it wasn’t for the fact that it is a bad way of doing thing. In the case of Doc Ock’s lab you can activate and pay 3 endurance to give any SS character a +3 attack. What is so bad about that? Well, if I am going to pay 3 endurance to raise a character’s attack by 3, it means that I am a.)in the beginning stages of the game where it isn’t going to mess up my opponent too badly or b.)going to get stunned in return because I am taking a weaker character against a stronger character. Either way it doesn’t look too good. I think I will save room in my deck for something better…

SS constructed deck – 2.0/5.0 ….Losing endurance for a mediocre effect is never a good thing.
Limited – 2.0/5.0 …..This card takes many SS characters to work effectively.

Johnny Blaze
Doc Ock’s Lab – I’m torn between this card which is a 1 drop or Lion’s Den, which is a 2 drop, as a Location for SS to use as pumps. If you haven’t seen Lion’s Den it provides this: “Pay 1 resource point ---> Target Sinister Syndicate character gets +4 ATK this turn. Use this power only once per turn.” So you have a choice lose 3 endurance and gain +3 ATK or pay a resource point and get +4 ATK this turn. Although Lion’s Den can be used while attacking or defending, most likely when you are hitting all your curves you wont have the extra resource point to spend.

Constructed – 2/5: So now on to our card of the day which is Doc Ock’s Lab. If you are ahead in endurance and don’t mind paying the 3 endurance for +3 ATK then by all means do so. I would much rather use Flying Kick because I cant really seeing trading off 3 for 3 but I’m sure that this will appeal to many players.

Limited – 3/5: I’m giving a little better rating here because anytime you can pump your character and especially in draft where the +3 ATK may be able to stun a larger defender use it. Of course you better be drafting Syndicate.
Web of Spider-Man has some pretty good locations, and this is one that holds its own, and might even be a little underrated. At first glance, it looks like an even tradeoff: you pay 3 endurance, your attacker will do 3 more points of breakthrough. However, this card will usually allow your attackers to attack "off the curve". 3 more points of ATK will usually let a character stun a character that's one point higher in cost. This is huge for you, as it allows your highest cost character to plow through a smaller defender and not worry about being stunned back. In the long run, you'll do a lot more damage than the measly 3 endurance you paid. It may struggle to find a place in a Sinister Syndicate deck, but it certainly wouldn't be a wasted slot.

In Limited, this card really shines. Attack enhancing plot twists are at a premium, and locations slip to the bottom of the packs. However, a reusable attack boost can really help hammer at your opponent's board.
This is still middle of the pack fare, but the benefits will make it a good pick almost every time.

Paul Hagan Doc Ock's Lab --

This is one of the cornerstones to a quick, savage Syndicate deck. All of your offensive weapons are huge when playing the Syndicate, and at the expense of a few endurance, Doc Ock's Lab can make them all that much bigger. Combined with characters like Vulture or Morbius, the Lab becomes almost a must-play location.

In limited, if I am playing Syndicate (which is entirely too often in WoSM draft), I will scoop this card fairly early. Extra damage is nothing to laugh at, and Doc Ock's Lab provides that damage extremely effectively.
