Minerva after it murdered Yatagarasu and wore its skin.

Okay so there’s a bit to break down. First skill is SB3 for a straight +1 with hidden soft advantage from overguarding. That’s a reasonable cost at this stage for a non-GB2 skill. The second skill is a bit trickier. Soulblast 6 and a discard to get three more attacks in, but with no Drive Check unless you used the first skill. So you’re looking at Soulblast 9 for the full mileage at no extra cost, and that’s a tall order, considering Angelica only nets you one extra Soul per Stride. You’d have to dedicate a lot of the Regalia deck to the on-call units that can absorb dead shit to soul just to make the numbers for this, and I would rather a deck not need to dedicate several slots in the decks to cards that only exist to set up and don’t do anything on their own.

Not Favourite Champ Viktor levels of bullshit but any re-stand is one you ought to take with good grace I suppose.

What’s up, Rogue Squad?!  To wrap up Regalia Week, we’re having a look at the ace of Regalia’s, Minerva.  Minerva itself has always been an iconic card since its debut a few years ago, and the fact that it’s the ace G Unit for Regalia now testifies that fact.  This new Minerva is a bit expensive on the Soulblast side, as you’d need at least NINE Regalia cards in the Soul to get the full benefit, but the payoff isn’t too shabby as Minerva becomes a base 36k quad drive on first attack and then restands everything, including herself, for round 2, and even with only 1 drive check (remember, best case scenario), it’s still a nice finisher or mid-late Game stride as it’ll exhaust a lot of the opponent’s hand while applying great pressure in the process.  The biggest drawback, like I mentioned earlier, is the nine Regalia soul, but with the right cards to combo with, this ends up becoming a solid stride for Regalia.

Artwork: 5/5 (Seriously, the Minerva artworks are some of the best arts in the game.)
