Sublimation Knight
– #TOCH-EN013

If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can equip 1 FIRE Warrior or 1 Gemini monster from your hand or Deck to this card as an Equip Spell that gives this card 500 ATK. If this card in its owner’s control is destroyed by an opponent’s card while equipped with a Gemini monster(s): You can Special Summon as many of those Gemini monsters from your GY as possible, as Effect Monsters that gain their effects. You can only use each effect of “Sublimation Knight” once per turn.

Hello Pojo Fans,

Sublimation Knight is a way for yesterday’s card to trigger, but is also a blanket support card for Gemini monsters.

Low stats and Level 3, Sublimation Knight does get you a deck thin upon its summon. You likely won’t pass on the deck thin unless you are targeting a card you only run one of and it happens to be in your hand. ATK boost is minimal and likely won’t matter. If Sublimation is destroyed by your opponent while you have it equipped with a Gemini though you get that Gemini back as an effect monster, and any other copies that may be in the grave. Not sure how many times multiple copies of one Gemini monster will end up in the graveyard, but to be able to get your Gemini effect immediately not only gets you back a monster lost (replacing the destroyed Sublimation Knight) but you’ll benefit from the effect(s) of your Gemini if they trigger upon summon. Most Gemini though are Ignition effects and you’d have to do something like ram Sublimation Knight into a monster to destroy Knight and trigger its effect that way. Evocator Eveque is one of the only Gemini that have an effect that immediately gives you advantage when becoming an effect monster without having to be activated by you (Magical Reflect Slime being another one). This Knight is a good way to fish out an Infernoble Knight monster and get it to the grave where you’ll have better access to it.

Sublimation Knight can directly get you to a monster you want access to later, and can pull something big like Phoenix Gearfried out of the deck so you can Special Summon it later. It’s a shame most Gemini have Ignition Effects, otherwise this card would be much better.

Next up this week is an interesting card that could help Geminis, has a focus on Equipping, and can be a 1 card Isolde: Sublimation Knight.

Sublimation Knight is a Level 3 FIRE Warrior with 1300 ATK and 200 DEF. Fine ATK on a Level 3, but I do like it being a FIRE with 200 DEF for some Rekindling stuff if you wanted, and also once again being FIRE Warrior is solid right now. The first effect of this card is on Normal or Special Summon to equip a FIRE Warrior or Gemini Monster from Deck to this card as an Equip Spell to boost this monster by 500 ATK. I’m sure you can find some fun Equip stuff with this, but a big one already is equipping the Union Monster known as Squeaknight to use the Union Effect to summon it and go for Isolde. Other than that, you can equip an Infernoble to this to gain some protection, though it isn’t too impressive on an 1800 body that doesn’t do too much with that. The second effect is if you control this card and it was destroyed by an opponent’s card while equipped with a Gemini Monster or Monsters, you can revive as many Gemini Monsters as possible that were equipped to this card and have them gain their effects. This is nice to retrieve some field presence you lost with this card’s destruction and it will net you at least 1 Gemini with its effect, and it helps yesterday’s card actually resolve and it can revive this to equip from Deck once again. I wish it worked with FIRE Warriors as well and not just Geminis, but I guess that is what it is. Each effect is a hard once per turn, which I guess is more fair on a stronger card. It’s pretty good overall, I mean you can’t really complain about a 1 card Isolde.

Art: 4.5/5 Kinda sold on this one more, looks really cool in all honesty.

Sublimation Knight, Level 3, Fire/Warrior/(and not a) Gemini, 1300/200 which isn’t awful in a Level 3 and that defense can play into Flamvell and other various Fire themes and support.
Not being a Gemini but still being support friendly to them.  A Normal or Special Summon, always good, let’s you Union a Fire Monster from your Hand or Deck making this card become 1800 attack from 1300.  Also good.
If this card is destroyed by opponent’s effect under your control with Gemini(s) attached time it you can Special Summon as many as possible from your Graveyard and they gain their effects.  Which is awesome.
There is certainly some potential here.  There are many ways to move cards around and attach or reattach, so a swarm here isn’t out of the question.  The trick will be getting those Monsters attached.  But even 1 Monster replaces itself.  Anything after is a bonus.

Art:  4/5  The picture overall is cool and I do like this armor but it’s a much on the eyes.
