Deadeye; Twin Attack

CE: Rebel trooper followers within 6 gain twin attack

This is the greatest piece to have no followers to use on. Maybe not quite, but close. His stats are pretty much irrelevant. With a +8 for 10 DAM you aren't going to use him to go chasing down Boba or Vader even though he does have twin.

The rebel captain is going to be used specifically for his CE. any character of the rebel faction with the word trooper in its name gains twin attack. the problem here is the total lack of quality grunt support for the rebels. The only fig even remotely worth using this on are the elite Hoth troopers. Add in Lando, Hero of Tanaab and they make for a nice mobile squad. Add in Leia, Senator for the extra movement, and add in Admiral Ackbar for some added attack power.

Now at this point we start to run into a problem. All these effects are very good, but they all require the commander to be within 6 of the follower, making life very crowded. If you have enough elite Hoth troopers it can make a pretty fun squad. I ran it once and did pretty good with it, but it is not easy keeping everyone within 6 of all those commanders.

100pt: realm of the big boys. stay away here

150pts: here it is playable, but more in a fun game. Use him and Lando and round out your points with elite Hoth troopers and you get a decent fun squad.

200pts: here you can get a decent team. Use the above build but now you can add in Ackbar, any Han, or the new Leia for troop regeneration. Again, the rebels really don't have a cost effective grunt to make good use of the Rebel Captain, but hopefully in A&E we will get some more. He makes a good fun squad. Keep it at that level and he can be worth playing.

Rating:
100 pt Squad: 3/5
150+ pt: 4/5

Pros: Brings a much needed commander effect to the Rebel Faction. When partnered with Han Solo Rebel Hero or Lando Calrissian Hero of Tanaab, your rebel grunts will see their combat effectiveness improve. His deadeye may enable him to dish out 40 damage.
Cons: Alone, El Capitan is a lackluster grunt piece with average defense and attack scores.
