Weren’t we all expecting Bib Fortuna to be the piece that made Jabba the Hutt competitively playable? He was going to have some awesome ability that offset the Hutt’s unfortunate cost, and maybe further enhanced the bounty hunters that Jabba commands, right? Surely, if any set was going to make Jabba worthwhile, it would be a set called “Bounty Hunters,” right?

Sadly, this was not to be. There are a number of pieces in the set that cost one less when in a squad with Jabba, and Bib is one of them, but several of them aren’t really worth playing, either, and Bib is also one of them.

Bib is clearly designed to be functionally similar to the Twi’lek Scoundrel, a piece that regularly makes lists of the worst pieces in the game. He has even lower stats than that waste of points, with his only up side being Poison 20, an ability that will work, at best, half the time. He can theoretically do 40 damage in a round, with Poison and Cunning Attack, but he’s a melee piece with Defense 12 and 20 hit points. If he gets to make one attack, you’re doing well. Don’t bother.

Points: 8
Hitpoints: 20
Defense: 12
Attack: +4
Damage: 10
Faction: Fringe

Abilities: Cunning Attack, Melee Attack, Poison +20, Rapport (Jabba), Unique

First things first, I'd like to apologize for my last review (Bith Black Sun Vigo) for thinking that its damage was 20 instead of 10. As a reviewer, I shouldn't have made that mistake. However, it wouldn't have made too much of a difference on my views of the piece, anyway.

Now... onto Bib! I happen to like this piece, as he is actually fairly good for his cost. I, however, don't like reviewing small Uniques, so this will be short and sweet.

All of his stats are low, but pretty much above average for 8 measly points. With Cunning Attack, he becomes a +8 attacker for 20, which isn't too shabby.
Add that to Poison +20, that's a 50% chance for him to do 40 damage, which is insane for 8 points. He has Melee Attack, which is bad. He also has Rapport for Jabba, which is really useless.

A good piece, but will mostly be used as filler. Being able to do up to 40 damage will make him a target for your opponent, and if your opponent neglects him it could do a surprising ammount of damage.

I would have rathered him have some sort of cool commander effect, but an 8 point fringe filler (even if it is Unique) isn't a bad thing to say the least.

100 points: 3/5 Filler.
200 points: 3.5/5 Filler.

Sculpt: 4/5 Yay! We at last have the infamous Bib Fortuna!
